The electromagnetic field surrounding the power lines is enough to make fluorescent tubes glow. It should be known that Richard Box photographed it first. But when we heard about it, we had to try it ourselves. Art directed by Jeff "VisualNinja" Martin (off-center in yellow attire).

The tube like tunnel between gmex metrolink and deansgate train stations. It's been used by magazines for countless fashion shoots. We were heading back from the frank sidebottom tribute gig when I snapped this.

This is just one of the many tube sellers surrounding the beautiful Ichetucknee River. "The Ichetucknee River is a spring fed, pristine river in north central Florida. Many people visit the river and springs. Activities include swimming, tubing, and diving. The name is derived from a Native American language. The water in the river is crystal-clear and is always 72 °F. There are different launch and end points, resulting in a tube or raft excursion anywhere from 1-3 hours. A variety of commercial vendors, located outside the entrance to the park, rent tubes and rafts for a modest fee. Otters, turtles, ibis, wood storks, egrets, herons, cormorants, anhingas, king fishers and fish inhabit the river. No cranes. For many years uncontrolled access to the river resulted in a rise in pollution, trash, and debris. In 1970 the springs and river became Ichetucknee Springs State Park. The park limits the number of daily visitors, which has helped return the area to a natural, pristine beauty. It is a tributary of the Santa Fe River, which in turn flows into the Suwannee River."

THIS IS THE SEED, NOT THE FLOWER

This native of Sri Lanka blooms almost always throughout the year.

Heaviest flowering takes place during Spring for a short period of time when the tree gets covered with white tube shaped flowers.

And then each spent flower produces a single seed pod which starts out a light green, then turns to a dark, glossy blue over time.

The seed pod is then surrounded by a large, bright red Calyx in the shape of a starfish for a long time..
