The subject was a rather "simple" one, because the only easily accessible "Inside Electronics" parts I had were these old tubes that used to be inside of my headphone amplifier. They are made of glass (of course) so you can see what's inside of them; making it a "double peek", if you like - an inside view of something that used to be inside of an electronic device ;-). I always wanted to use these tubes for a photo. The idea was to make it appear like a spaceship. Ever since the new tubes were installed, the amplifier sounds crappy (so I don't use it anymore; but it's 20 years old, so it's probably time for a new one...). I wasn't aware that the type of tubes can make such a difference in sound...
A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!
Das Universum der Musik... Unendliche Weiten. Wir schreiben das Jahr 2112. Dies ist das Raumschiff Cygnus X-1, Rush-Klasse, Flagschiff der X-Cans-Flotte. Lautlos umrundet es den Planeten Samba auf einer fünfjährigen "Amazing Journey" durch das "Musical Fidelity" Universum. Viele Klangjahre von der Erde entfernt erforscht es neue musikalische Welten, die nie ein Mensch zuvor gehört hat...
Um nicht etwas aufschrauben und dabei womöglich beschädigen zu müssen (oder den elektrischen Schlag schlechthin zu bekommen), habe ich hier alte Röhren aus meinem Kopfhörer-Verstärker genommen, die ich schon immer mal für ein Foto verwenden wollte. Ein "doppelter Einblick" ins Innere der Elektronik, da die Röhren durch ihren Glasmantel sowohl Einblick in ihr eigenes Inneres erlauben als auch zuvor im Innern eines elektrischen Geräts verbaut waren. Dummerweise klingt der Verstärker nach dem Wechsel der Röhren gar nicht mehr gut (ich hätte nie gedacht, dass die Art der Röhre solch einen Einfluss auf den Klang hat), aber er ist auch schon 20 Jahre alt; vielleicht Zeit für etwas Neues...

On the tube in London. As so many 'live' on their smartphones I wonder how verbal interactions between people will be affected long term. The tube has never been a hotbed on conversation so maybe messaging whilst travelling this way is a good thing?
From personal experience my attention span has shortened since the advent of personal mass digital communication, whether that would have happened anyway if I'd never owned a mobile to message and surf with I'll never really know. But I suspect not. Many has been the time I wanted to ditch the smartphone and go back to a button device but they're just too useful, aren't they?
Subway in North American means the tube or the underground in London.
When I followed a "Subway" sign in London, I ended up going through an underground passage (for pedestrians) crossing under a street :)

Een beetje van mij, een beetje Photoshop en een beetje Topaz ..... Volgens een bewoner branden de lantaarns nooit, alleen de TL-verlichting die er bovenin zit, wordt ontstoken. Een starburst staat een stuk gezelliger...
A little bit of me , a little Photoshop and a little Topaz .... According to a resident the lanterns never burn their lightbulb, but only the tube- lighting at the top is switched on. A starburst is a lot more pleasant to look at.....

London Underground have started to add new carriages to some of the tube lines where the carriages connect to form one large carriage, rather than having those dubious looking doors between them that warn of the risks of going between carriages. Looking down the carriage feels a bit odd as you can't easily make out the end of the train!
i finally gather up the confidence to take photos on the tube and they come out hardly visible. i like this anyway.

One of London's most Beautiful & busiest Underground Tube station. It reflects the daily life style of the Londoners which is full of motions, The connection between the residents of the great Island and the Tube is unexplainable. In this great Island, it is totally impossible to think about daily life without energy even at night. This energy(specially the lights) give this city a life like other cities and made it the futurestic. The life of London shuts down without it.
