The flower's name is higanbana (彼岸花) in Japanese.
It is actually part of the amaryllis family of flowers... one of my
favorites in Fall.
5th grade for me Miss Wetick. My God I remember fantasizing about being able to wear the dresses pantyhose and shoes she wore! So sexy!
Vidalia is the most loving feline in our household. She loves all people and all critters. She even adores Bogart and Magnus, seeking out affection from both of them. Is there anything Vidalia doesn't love? Oh, besides benadryl, that is. I got benadryl down her throat ONE TIME back when she had a nasty allergic reaction to an additive to the lysine chews. The second time I tried, she drew blood from the side of my nose and managed to spit out the red-colored liquid while running down the stairs. Sigh.
Ahhhhh, memories. . .
And, quite clearly, Vidalia adores SunStones' catnip toys.

The meanest looking squall line I have EVER witnessed during my 2-3 years of weather spotting in East Central Illinois! This brought back good stormy memories of my early teen-years when I used to live in Charleston, Illinois...back in 2003-2004 we had some of the most insane weather yet. This was a true classic to hit East Central Illinois yesterday. I was about the only spotter who probably saw this in the area.
This here is a panorama of a beautiful turquoise-hued line of severe thunderstorms with embedded tornado warning approaching Eastern Coles County in East Central Illinois yesterday evening around 610pm. This was a beautiful storm, definitely a treat in my homegrounds. Panorama opportunity was cool too ;)

took this one when I was back in Nicaragua... there were these two little kids, brother and sister I presume.. they were sitting at this spot just outside a church .. they were there before i arrived.. they were sitting there after I left.. just laughing.. if you ask me what true love is, this must be it.
