Since a cold was flirtling with me all day yesterday - tried hard to keep my chin up! -causing ugly headacahe, inabitlity to concertrate and tireness, setting the table for dinner and preparing it was the most creative part of the day. Sad but true.
Green salad is full with vitamin C, so some fresh came form the grocery store, hoping to give my organism a positive boost...and it did....I have today to completely recover, as we are leaving for a short trip, on a long weekend tomorrow...and the sun will be coming out in this part of the world! Yay : )!

The old city of Xichang is in and around old castle walls. There are old shops along the main streets and houses in the back street, roofed with black ceramic tiles, in various beautiful details while in coordination of similar style. This town have very strong, cozy, traditional, gentle, warm and charming atmosphere, and while walking about you often meet really breathtaking scene, like this photo.
I feel this town deserves the world heritage. It is so beautiful, and keeps people's traditional lovely life style. It's history and tradition of human life and civilization.
As in reality, I heard this town will be removed for development. Today while I was taking pic of building detail, an old man came to me and yelled something as if he was angry. I knew that he was saying me that the town will be destroyed next year. So it was true and these photo will be part of limited photo images of this town that will end its history next year.

A true cosmopolitan, the Painted Lady actually spends winter in the north of Africa and summer in the north of Europe, e.g. Sweden! Each generation migrates around 1000 kilometres when they go north. They start when the north of Africa gets too hot in april, and fly through Europe. They fly at different heights from the ground, up to more than 1000 meters, in search for favourable winds. And after the summer in the north of Europe they migrate back to the north of Africa! The wings of this butterfly are intact and then it has hatched nearby - if they are broken at the edge, on the other hand, the butterfly has flown far.

The Painted Lady has a migratory behaviour also in the United States.
