I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.

On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. (ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably).

Photograph taken at an altitude of Sixty six metres at 12:57pm on Thursday April 13th 2017 within Villa Ada Savoia, with a surface of Four hundred and fifty acres (1.8 km) it is the second largest in the city and located in the northeastern part of the city. Its highest prominence is Monte Antenne with an altitude of 67 m (220 ft), an ancient archeological site.

During the summer, the park hosts the worlde music festival and the "Roma incontra il mondo" (Rome meets the World) festival against racism, war and the death penalty, an anual event since 1994.

The fall of 2022 I did my 3rd major cycling tour. I began my adventure in Montreal, Canada and finished in Savannah, GA. This tour took me through the oldest parts of Quebec and the 13 original US states. During this adventure I cycled 7,126 km over the course of 2.5 months and took more than 68,000 photos. As with my previous tours, a major focus was to photograph historic architecture.

Taken on an old wee compact camera years ago.. I always meant to find this place again and take a photo with a DSLR but cant quite remember where it was doh!

These are the largest Crape Myrtle trees that I have ever come across in my entire life. The trunks are bigger than my wingspan if I were to attempt to hug them. I'd like to enter them in a Guiness Book of World Record somewhere, but I'm not sure who to contact and if there is such a record, but I'm sure they'd come close, if not, beat the socks of the nearest competitor!

After weeks of self isolation due to the global pandemic that we know as COVID-19 Coronavirus, we are allowed to go out for exercise once per day and keep away from others. A walk in the misty meadows today to taste the fresh air and get my limbs moving again.

Seeing the sky in patches seems pitifully inadequate after one spent so much time looking at a sky stretching unimpeded from horizon to horizon. There the weather was an immediate factor. You saw it coming. Or the ocean told you it would soon change. It was a major factor in your day and not a changing color overhead

If you looked at this end of our street on Google maps, the tree canopy prevents a view of houses or other features on the ground below. Live oak trees retain their foliage all year long...in the spring, new leaves push the old leaves off and the tree blooms immediately, releasing a large amount of pollen, to the dismay of allergy sufferers all over the city!

I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.

On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably.

These days I take a far more liesurely approach to my photographic exploits, and having moved from professional Nikon equipment to consumer bodies and lenses, I travel light less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. With visits now in excess of 19.000 Million to my FLICKR site, used primarily these days as a fun platform to reach friends and family, I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to FLICKR, GETTY IMAGES and everyone who drops by.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Sixty one metres at 13:01pm on Thursday April 13th 2017 off Viale Don Luigi di Liegro within Villa Ada Savoia. With a surface of Four hundred and fifty acres (1.8 km) it is the second largest in the city and located in the northeastern part of the city. Its highest prominence is Monte Antenne with an altitude of 67 m (220 ft), an ancient archeological site.

During the summer, the park hosts the worlde music festival and the "Roma incontra il mondo" (Rome meets the World) festival against racism, war and the death penalty, an anual event since 1994.

She safely guided mariners to the southernmost point in the continental United States since she was first lit in 1849. Her light was seen for miles out at sea - Key West Lighthouse - Key West, FL USA

The Key West lighthouse is located in Key West, Florida. The first Key West lighthouse was a 65-foot tower completed in 1825. It had 15 lamps in 15-inch (380 mm) reflectors. The first keeper, Michael Mabrity, died in 1832, and his widow, Barbara, became the lighthouse keeper, serving for 32 years. The Great Havana Hurricane of 1846 destroyed the lighthouse; the USS Morris, which was wrecked during the storm, reported "a white sand beach covers the spot where Key West Lighthouse stood". Barbara Mabrity survived, but fourteen people who had sought refuge in the lighthouse tower died, including seven members of her family. (The same hurricane destroyed the Sand Key Lighthouse, eight miles away, killing six people, including the keeper, Rebecca Flaherty, another widow of a previous keeper.) Barbara Mabrity continued to serve as keeper of the Key West Light until the early 1860s, when she was fired at age 82 for making statements against the Union. (Key West remained under Union control throughout the Civil War.)

As both lighthouses serving Key West had been destroyed in the 1846 hurricane, a ship, the Honey, was acquired and outfitted as a lightship to serve as the Sand Key Light until new lighthouses could be built. Due to efforts to reorganize the Lighthouse Board, Congress was slow to appropriate funds for the new lighthouses. The new tower for the Key West Light was completed in 1849. It was 66 feet tall with 13 lamps in 21-inch (530 mm) reflectors, and stood on ground about 15 feet above sea level. In 1858 the light received a third order Fresnel lens. In 1873 the lantern was replaced (it had been damaged by a hurricane in 1866), adding three feet to the height of the tower. The growth of trees and taller buildings in Key West began to obscure the light, and in 1894 the tower was raised twenty feet, placing the light about 100 feet above sea level.

After the Coast Guard decommissioned the Key West Light in 1969, it was turned over to Monroe County, which in turn leased it to the Key West Arts and Historical Society. The society operates the lighthouse and its associated buildings as the Key West Light House and Keeper's Quarters Museum. On display at the museum is the first order Fresnel lens from the Sombrero Key lighthouse.

Seated in historic uptown New Orleans Audubon Park is a favorite spot for recreation, picnics or enjoying a beautiful day. For more than a century, people have enjoyed this urban oasis with allées of ancient live oaks, a tranquil 1.8-mile jogging path, a lagoon, picnic shelters, and playgrounds. Audubon Park is open to the public and also features tennis courts, riding stables, soccer fields, the Whitney Young Pool, Audubon Clubhouse Café and Audubon Golf Club.
