On February 5, 2021we had another soft snowfall that came down as a beautiful, white, fluffy snow. Since I had my Canon at home I felt fortunate to be able to photograph nature at its finest, up close and personal in the woods and hillside behind my home. Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!

Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is tree bark. I must admit: I used an « old » picture for this one. Few weeks ago I showed you my rings on a tree bark pencils, So for today’s theme I decided to use another version of the ring picture. As you can see, I have a bark tree ring, which is one of my favourite… I wear it everyday on my fingers. And just to make sure: my fingers aren’t made of tree bark or pencils event if they are, apparently, exactly the same size as my bark tree pencils… I wish you all an amazing weekend !!

Mucho, mucho amor for you !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !

FYI: I’m very busy at work and at home so I will not be able to answer your comments… So comment at your own risks ! However, I will read everything for sure !

Looking through old stuff, I thought this was a rusted rivet at first. Nope. A natural formation on tree bark. You'll want to blow this one up to enjoy the texture better... :)

Tree on the shore on Garibaldi Bay [a small fishing village], Oregon.

This is a young tree, the frame is I-3/4 inch square or 44mm square frame. The bark is relatively smooth to look at it from a distance, yet does have a ridge pattern as well as a pattern of dashes and dots.

The holes are from a woodpecker.

at first I thought I might skip the theme of this week's "Smile on Saturday", but then I found this incrusted piece of bark worth taking a pic of!

Looking back to see if I was watching it as it perched on a leaning tree trunk. The red cap is quite vibrant.
