Looking Close... on Friday theme Tree Bark
A young Silver Birch - I love a Silver Birch - best looking tree bark there is (IMO). Spot the ant 😊
Happy Looking Close... on Friday!!! 😊
This image was inspired from a dream of a tree I use to play in as a child...as only a dream can imagine.
Taken to show the lovely bark texture of this Spanish cork tree. The cork, of course, is used to bottle the local vino!! A tree creeper giving it the once over too! HTT TMT
I think this is a partial view of the trunk of a plane tree (Platanus orientalis), but I am not sure. I am basically tree-dumb. I thought the variegated bark made a nice semi-abstract, with the "finger" of ivy tying the image to reality.
Location: Park at Dominikushaus, Riehen BS Switzerland.
In my album: Dan's Patterns: Nature-Made.

Three weeks ago we had our first severe winter storm of the year. We received 9.4”. The following Thursday we received 6.7” then yesterday we received sleet and ice, quite thick. So ready for winter to be over!! Photos are out my backdoor along my bluff and backyard. Photo images credited to Vickie L Klinkhammer of Vickielynne Photography and Designs (VLP&Designs). In March I had an opportunity to visit my sister in Victoria, Texas. While visiting we toured many areas where I was able to get a photo shoot in. On this day we stayed in Victoria and traveled to the outskirts where this lazy river was flowing. Right on that river bank was a bar and grill where we relaxed with a Martini and shrimp. Such a nice view from their outdoor deck! Some of the views are abstract with many reflections. I will be uploading each place separately as I get them ready to view. One of the first photo's Im day with my new Canon R.
It's a big difference compare with my previous camera.
On a huge, and very old Tupelo tree in my backyard. A small section of BARK: very much 3 dimensional: with deep crevices as well as distinct outcroppings.
Theme: "Tree Bark"
Thank you for taking the time to view my photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you.
