The Old Castillo Bed and Breakfast
located 10 miles from Lafayette, LA
St Martin Parish - Louisiana
The Old Castillo Bed and Breakfast was built circa 1827 by Captain Edmond Castillo. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Homes since 1978. The building is nestled along the lazy Bayou Teche, beneath the branches of the legendary Evangeline Oak.
This tree looks rather sad and bare, but has a really intriguing gnarled quality to it.
On a separate note, it's really incredible to see such a sea of pink. I don't know that I've ever seen such a solid, and regular, layer of sakura petals covering the ground as far as the eye can see like this.
This is a Tule Tree. It is a type of Cypress, and is a relative of the oldest living tree in the world, located in Oaxaca, MX
three wild ash trees in front of my fence... that's how it looked like last December, but by now birds ate all of it )
The Riverside Walk, Attingham Park (NT) Shropshire, UK - The last of the white daffodils in the foreground.
Not a great photo, but did you know pineapples grew this way... damn, I was stupid. They grow upside down! The tree is lower then my waist... heck, it's not even a tree really!
As I went for a walk this morning the clouds and mist had parted and the sun was starting to peek through. It will be another dry, sunny, autumn day. (Explored)
A particularly beautiful street in Puebla's historic centre, sheltered beneath a canopy of trees. With it's abundance of richly coloured and ornamented facades Puebla is one of the loveliest, most attractive cities I've ever seen.
&another (:
i dont like the flickr sharpening :( it looked a lot softer before i uploaded this. but anyways! i really like this picture, except i think i MAY have overdone it on the editing. but the sky looks wonderful

Mount Hahlić got it it's name from "hahlići" which is local name for those water puddles, which are abundant on the plateau at about 1000m height..... The Adriatic sea, island Krk and Rijeka in the distance..
The light was just amazing this afternoon and showed the trees wonderful autumn colours perfectly. Minimal post processing and as luck would have it shot at 45mm so perspective is pretty much exactly as it appeared to the naked eye.
