We finally got beautiful, fluffy non-icy snow!

One of the most spectaculair trees of the country, the large yellow Laburnum foxii, also called the Rain of Gold.

I do not think I have to explain why it is called Rain of Gold, however, after the short period of its blossom, the tree is just like any other. A Cascade of green!

The rain stopped for an hour tonight and the sun came out, just for an hour. Just enough time to grab the camera and head out. I had just a couple of minutes to get this shot

while the sun was setting this tree had some lovely side lighting which was showing all the detail and texture in the bark.
