The Japanese Maple at the Portland Japanese Garden.
I like this horizontal version a little better than the vertical I posted a few weeks ago as this photo has better light at the base of the tree lighting the fallen leaves and rim lighting the tree trunk.
During our visit to Palm Springs we took a day trip to Joshua Tree National Park. Here are the remains of a tree, not a Joshua tree amidst the yuccas, sage, grasses, sand and boulders.
Taken on a photo-shoot on a cloudy day at Pitsford Reservoir Northamptonshire, UK with friends and fellow photographers Wildlife and Nature and John (Take a look at their splendid pictures).

A green tree of summer at Briery Creek Wildlife Management Area in Prince Edward County, Virginia. The number of views on this photo is a big mystery to me--I have no idea where they came from or why.

A wonderful shot of an old pinon tree in the Sandia Foothills just above Albuquerque. This wonderful Black and White Image will make a good accent to your home or office.
This very old beech surley is mother of the small beeches in the vicinity.

The 2nd stop as Steve (Stoates-Findhorn) and I were heading to Skye was at this isolated tree in Glen Shiel. We have stopped here before without much to show for our efforts and I am not sure it was worth it this time but, if nothing else, it gives a great indication of the weather!
