Moon and tree during sunset at Rocky Point Park in Warwick, Rhode Island.

The gorgeous Smoke Tree in my back garden is at its best this Summer! It's showing off its lovely blossoms which look like puffs of smoke. Best viewed large.

This is a single room at the hotel, which consists of different cottages spread around in the forest.

Cycling east of Preston and then north, towards La Trobe Uni, the sky was intense and tempestuous, and as I turned left at the lake near the La Trobe Uni sportsgrounds, a dead tree standing in the lake cried out to be photographed. I took at least a dozen photos of the one tree from various views, deciding on this one to post.

 

The branches, to me, look twisted like lightening, aggregating into a single trunk to touch down into the lake.

 

Pentax Optio W90. Edited in Nik Efex Color and Photoshop.

After deciding where I wanted to shoot sunset at Toroweep, I climbed back up the cliff and saw this. I thought it was a good omen for the evening…and it was.
