Part of Biloxi Small Craft Harbor, by day they sell their shrimp out of the back of their boat. Most locals will bring a cooler with them and stock up.
Prawn trawler Transcend BF 61 slowly coming into Buckie on Monday morning at the high tide. Was positioning to work on their nets.
A beautiful bay of sorts straddles a vast stretch of water between the junctions of the islands of Fort Kochi and Willingdon with the mainland mass of Cochin.
This natural harbour has local ferries built long, boring and tinny that ply between the mainland and fort Kochi and Vyapeen. There are boats aplenty. You can see cargo vessels steaming in and out to Willingdon Island and some times even ocean liners that decide to make Cochin as a stop. Infact I remember having seen QE II berthed there once. This was in March 2007, a year before it was bought over by the Dubai World group. The food was pretty good at one of the restaurants that they had opened out to a few guests of the Port Trust authorities. I have no idea how I managed to be abroad.
There are slow houseboats which take a round trip from the mainland Taj Hotel to the Taj Malabar hotel on Willingdon Island. Catering to the hotel guests for the usual sunset trip to the fishing nets of Fort Kochi and Vyapeen. Often I have been on board these old wooden vessels accompanying some guests. It has always been a good experience, affording some beautiful photographic takes.
On one of such trips , the above photograph of the fishing trawler was shot.

Thorir is on its way from Polish Gdynia back home to Iceland. Probably the stay in Gdynia was due to maintenance or/and repair work.

I swear the fishing fleet in this port is there for show, such nice clean trawlers I've never seen before, or since.
Having been inspired by the "whale-culture" of Dishonored but then realising my amateurish building skills would stop me from accurately replicating one of the game's awesome Whaling Trawlers, I decided to design my own. While it may be substantially less fantastical, interesting or just generally less impressive, I tried. :p
I built this a few months ago for a competition in the RGM group in the "Creature Feature" category. Sorry you can't really get a good view of the creature. Just take my word that I am awful at taking flattering shots of MOCs.
Comment if you like. Thank you all anyway.
