A trawler at Brixham, Devon, Uk. Another experiment and done in an impressionistic style. As usual it's acrylics on canvas. 20" (51cm) x 30" (76cm)

"When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea."

A very early painting, framed and on a flat canvas. Acrylics. It looks a little surreal now but, from what I can remember, this is the first painting (after many years of drawing) I ever did. I turned out and gave some older paintings away recently and found this one under the wardrobe. 15" (38cm) x 20" (51cm).

The quaint town of Dingle on the Dingle Peninsula is one of our favourite places to visit in Ireland, with its pretty harbour, interesting shops, traditional music, wonderful restaurants and pubs, and magnificent surrounding scenery. In this image we can see some of the colourful fishing trawlers in its harbour. Did I forget to mention it also rains a lot in Ireland. View On Black

The water on the weekend was clear and an amazing emerald green; the trawlers seemed to be levitating above the water.
