Two trawlers sailing down the River Thames, following the pro-brexit 'flotilla' sailing up river to Parliament; they took a couple of days to sail back down and of course passed Gravesend doing so.

Christina S is a 'pelagic' (open sea) trawler, Atlantic Challenge is behind.

It's illegal to trawl the Thames up-river of the two forts at Coalhouse Fort and Cliffe Fort (5-6 miles east of Gravesend). At Gravesend, the water is still pretty much 100% sea water.

There are fish in the river ! Seals and the occasional porpoise...

Cabbage Tree Creek, Shorncliffe in Brisbane’s northern bayside suburbs is the base for a fleet of prawn trawlers that regularly head out into Moreton Bay for their catch.

The local selling Co-op closed quite a few years back and there were fears the boats would relocate or just stop operating. But now they sell straight off the boats most mornings. So you just go down and line up and buy the freshest prawns imaginable.

Before work a little trip to the coast, the tide wasn't quite right and the clouds were not the best either but the trawler was right place at the right time. When I have time I will post a version without the dust spot!

With people crossing the creek by boat.

The creek is approx ½ a kilometer wide and journey time is about 5 minutes

Numerous islands dot the sunderbans en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundarbans, making it impossible to build bridges across each of them

We crossed the creek by barge which carries about 12 to 15 cars or about 4 to 5 busses

The creek was laden with these trawlers as far as the eye could see
