The Wakefield covered bridge was built in 1915 at the entrance of the village and was one of the first bridges to link the two shores of the Gatineau River. Sadly, the bridge was completely destroyed by fire in 1984. The population of the village decided to collect money to rebuild the bridge. Ten years later, in 1998, the new Gendron covered bridge was inaugurated. The new bridge can only be used by pedestrians, but it kept a few original pieces, among which the pillars that support it.

Itsukushima (厳島, Itsukushima?) is an island in the Inland Sea of Japan. It is popularly known as Miyajima (宮島, Miyajima?), the Shrine Island. Itsukushima is part of the city of Hatsukaichi in Hiroshima Prefecture. The island was the town of Miyajima prior to the 2005 merger with Hatsukaichi.
Itsukushima is famous for the Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to records, the shrine was established in the time of Empress Suiko. The warrior-courtier Taira no Kiyomori gave the shrine its present form. In 1555, Mori Motonari defeated Sue Harukata at the Battle of Miyajima. Toyotomi Hideyoshi built a large building, the Senjō-kaku, on a hill above the shrine.

Here you see just a part of the glacier's front side which is 5km long extending from one side to the other of the Lago Argentino..
An ice cloak, or glacial cap, covers this Protected Area of 600,000 hectares. Among the 356 glaciers, the Perito Moreno is the most outstanding one, having a front of 5 km long and a height of over 60 meters above the level of the water.
Known worldwide because of its process of fractures, the front of the glacier closes the running of the waters of Brazo Rico when it approaches the coast. This produces a kind of pond where the water goes up 20 meters over the level, creating the filtration that ends up in the fracture; the last time was in March 2004.
But show is never-ending. You can watch the detachment of ice blocks of different sizes from a short distance, hear the roaring they produce, and then watch them turned into wonderful floating icebergs.

[EN] Built during the Hundred Years' War by Louis II de Bourbon and his successors, Jean I and Charles I, this château from the 15C and 16C has a vast rectangular corps de logis flanked by a turret and a sturdy rectangular tower on the side facing the town. Protected by a rampart and by the town's surrounding wall, of which there are vestiges in the Jardin Wilson, its intended purpose was to defend the town.

[FR] Construit durant la guerre de Cent Ans par Louis II de Bourbon et ses successeurs, Jean Ier et Charles Ier, ce château des 15e et 16e s. possède un vaste corps de logis rectangulaire, que flanquent, côté ville, une tourelle et une grosse tour rectangulaire. Protégé par un rempart et par le mur d'enceinte de la cité, dont il reste des vestiges dans le jardin Wilson, il était destiné à défendre la ville.
