Second idea for "translucent"...but it seemed more transparent than translucent, so I went with the slightly icky photo instead. :p

Built up in many layers of translucent colours separated by textured layers of gel.

Among the paintings and carvings I saw, this was a really unusual foreground / background relationship.

The gobies, even though tiny, are not that hard to see if you know where to look. The trick is getting a nice composition, especially from above. I like the diagonals in this picture, made up by both the spots of the coral and the goby itself.
