i like this for whatever odd reason. the bottles and my goofy sunglasses made little bokeh happies :)
posted this cause i'm so excited--my old konica has a 1.4 f-stop lens thing (i have no idea if i got the terminology right) but ANYWAY, i took it outside with the shaped-bokeh hood i made and took some shots. hopefully, they'll come out (meaning that camera isn't broken after all). we'll see.
this is almost sooc---minimal color boosting.
I'm not a huge flower shooter. Honestly, I've only taken a few images of flowers this year. At certain times they do definitely strike my interest.
I couldn't resist last night as I saw the sun coming through my neighbors Day Lily's in her backyard. I really wanted to get an image of the flower with a sunburst surrounding it. With where the flower is planted, the sun was sitting too high and was too strong to make this happen. It could make for a great image if I could figure out how to make it work :)

Sunday afternoon in early July, I went to Zyge hometown village. I was surprised to find a translucent spider. Are not sure of the type of this spider, I was examined by the Internet after returning home. The spider, I know that it is a kind of newly-molted "Fishing Spider". I'm happy knowledge is increased.

Background, translucent white perspex, with leaf laid on top, illuminated by gelled green flashes, from front and rear. foreground, chestnut, well in front of the background, illuminated by flash with some light bounced back, by a silver reflector. Pocket wizards. The chestnut is suspended by fishing line, which has not been cloned out, visible underneath as the entire setup was arranged and photographed upside down!
