I spent an afternoon with a friend at his factory. Made a good start on the bed supports. The sides are about 950mm high, the bed will sit on top of that. The seats and vinyl flooring are just about the only things left to build!

Just about everything arrives on Venice and leaves by boat. Likewise it is moved around and distributed by boat too (that is until it reaches land and is then moved my men pushing trolleys).

The horrible old carpet was torn up on the weekend and a stud wall was built on each side - this will form the back of the rear seats and give the bed something to sit on.

The larger boxes at the end aren't just fancy arm rests but storage for 20L (5 Gallon) Jerrycans - one is water and the other is Diesel. These things look just like they did in the 1930's! That's pretty neat :)

Bed is bolted down - will remain in place during the trip.
