Van walls are now fully insulated.
Next step is to run the power and line everything with plywood.

Work continues on the van - finished the lower panelling on the driver's side, made a start on the upper panelling & fitted a reinforcement strap along the middle. This should take some of the flex out of the middle panelling when installed.
Rear lights - these are above the back doors. Not super bright but good for when you get into bed. Oh! And these are deck lights ;) thought they looked good!

Strip LED lighting - there's 2 x 2.5m of strip lights (one strip on each side of the van). These are bright - very very bright! The aluminium channel also has a plastic diffuser that clips in place - that will go on after I've finished carpeting the ceiling.

Mark I Transits, introduced in the UK in 1965, were first fitted with a 1.7 litre or 2.0 litre V4 petrol engine, but later a Perkins diesel engine became available and the bonnet was extended to take the longer engine. With only 43bhp on tap it was a slow and unpopular option, and in 1971 Ford replaced it with their own diesel unit. The van shown here is a long wheelbase model with twin rear wheels and enlarged rear wheel arches. Ford also used the long-bonnet model to fit a 3.0 litre V6 unit for police and ambulance models.

Chichester floods again, there used to be a pond over the hedge on the right, but someone decided 30 odd years ago after a couple of dry summers to fill it in and build a car park, now the River Otter has nowhere to run, must have been millions spent trying to cure, but nature has the final say on gravity

Some distortion in the images of the vehicles shows that they have begun to move off slowly from the traffic lights at Grafton Way in this November 1980 London scene, captured as a digital still from one of my old super 8 cine films. The Routemaster is one of the later extended RML type and is on route 30 from Hackney Wick to Roehampton, and is about to turn right into Tottenham Court Road.
This route was converted from Routemasters to Leyland Titans in 1987.
