Needs lowered and bigger rims for credibility

On wall of St Mark's Church, Kennington. Opposite Oval underground station. I wonder if the sign is saying that the underground is the shelter. I know the underground stations were used by people as unofficial shelters. Early on in the war the authorites discouraged people using them fearing mass casulties from a crush or direct hit I think. CND sign a nice addition

Just like the professionals (who aren't allowed to do it anymore) we - Handsworth Helping Hands - can bedeck our loyal transit van with trophy figurines we collect in the course of litter-picks and street tidying.

As seen in the series 2 finale of Ashes to Ashes. The van is actually a phase2, but the earlier lights and bumper end caps were fitted for the shoot, as it was set in 1982, two years before the Mk2 facelift happened.

1st button - Reversing camera. I elected *not* to hook up my reversing camera to the reverse light (so it comes on automatically) but via a button - so I can turn it on whenever I want :)

2nd button - Dual battery override. This allows me to 'jump start' the van should I not have enough charge in the start battery. The button illuminates whenever the two batteries are connected. This occurs when the start battery has enough charge. The start battery will automatically disconnect when the voltage drops below 12.7v

And finally, on the right is the dual battery monitor :)

This year we have support from Ford through local dealer Lawrence of Kemnay. That will ensure an excellent Ford presence with activities and displays (and some very special show offers on Ford merchandise!).

2018 is a major anniversary for the Blue Oval – it is 50 years since the launch of the legendary Escort! AllFord wants to celebrate this with at least 50 Escorts at the show, to be arranged in a ‘50’ formation in the centre of the arena. With this in mind please speak to everybody you know with an Escort (or several!) and ask them to bring them all.

2018 is also the 25th anniversary of the Mondeo so if you know anyone with a special Mondeo please encourage them to enter and bring it along on 19th August.

AllFord at Alford is ‘A celebration of Ford throughout the ages’ and we would like to see cars from every era of production so if you know of any old, interesting or special Ford or Ford powered cars, please forward this email to their owners and let us achieve our aim of making the 2018 event very special indeed.

This years ALLFord has a record number of entrants - a huge thanks to all those who are bringing their Fords on Sunday.

Next step is to run the power and line everything with plywood.

(Sorry for the quality of the photo, was taken on my phone!)

Was running grand until they removed the engine.

That tacho is unreliable. The speed shown was never the same as the original speedomoter :-)
