I freaked out at first thinking, THIS IS CRAP...before i realised the fly screen was the cause!

The towers of the Cathedral Metropolitana tower over the ruins of the Aztec Templo Mayor. These religious sites were the centers of their respective cities: Mexico City and Tenochtitlan. This is not a mistake: the conquistadors built the church that eventually became the Cathedral on the site of the Templo Mayor after tearing it down, with stones taken from the Templo.
This is some of the most extensive post I've done on an image. The shooting conditions were very tricky because of where the sun was located, so I couldn't help but have an image with flaring and a blown out sky. I've done a (conservative) sky replacement and reduced the effects of the flaring (couldn't eliminate it though :( ). This is the first time I've tried either of these techniques so comments are welcome! Edits done with GIMP.

New Afghan National Civil Order Police students receive their first round of gear from the Methar Lam Regional Training Center's issue point. The logistics departmemnt was the last area to be turned over to Afghan control. The RTC is now the first training center to be fully transitioned to the Afghans.
