Clanfield is an attractive village, particularly the Green flanked by elegant Cotswold stone houses and a stream. The church of St. Stephen, a rare dedication in Oxfordshire, stands on a high point above the village. The church has an early C14 west tower with an unusual C15 statue of St. Stephen holding the stones of his martyrdom in one hand and a Bible in the other. The nave was completely rebuilt in 1869 by J. Luker who reinstated a mutilated Norman tympanum over the south door. There is a three-bay Transitional north arcade of c1200 as are the capitals of the chancel arch. It is believed that the chancel of an earlier church was demolished in the C13 when the original nave was converted to become the present chancel and a north chapel was added alongside. There is a C15 squint between chancel and north chapel. C15 font on a modern base, the modern south door of the chancel has medieval hinges.

Transition Metal Periodic table is divided into four blocks- s-block, p-block, d-block and f-block. s-block and p-block elements are called as representative elements. d-block elements are called as transition elements. And, f-block elements are said to be Inner transition elements.Elements in the middle of the periodic table, from groups 3 to 12 are said to be d- block elements. They are metals and exhibit a variety of interesting properties. The d- block includes precious metals such as silver, gold and platinum and industrially important metals like iron, copper, titanium, mercury, etc.
My photographs represent my transition to the University of Florida. I recently transferred from Santa Fe College, so I am trying to adjust from a semi-small environment to an even larger environment. Each photo shows my process of discovering the campus. My goal for each photo was to depict John Szarkowski’s five issues, such as the thing itself, the detail, the frame, the time, and the vantage point. I have some images that are my favorite, and I believe these few photos represent all of Szarkowski’s five issues.
Some of my pictures focus on shadows, and I was inspired by the work of the photographers Harry Callahan and Paul Strand. For example, the photo of my shadow on the sidewalk. Also, my picture with the star water fountain represents Szarkowski’s issues concerning time and detail. When I took a photo of the water fountain, the water is paused, and I noticed the bubbles within the water stream. Moreover, if I had to pick which photograph was my favorite, it would be the picture with me crouched down in the hallway. I love this photo because I like how I changed the filter to black and white. After all, the building my class was in gives me early 50 and 60 vibes. Overall, I hope you enjoy viewing my photos and that they help you feel as if you are exploring the campus with me.
The sap is definitely rising. This, for me, is the best time. Winter blasted plants of all sorts pushing up the first tentative shoots of new life. Not so keen on the unrelenting green of high Summer....a bit boring.
There is a moment when you can catch these trees just on the cusp, halfway between summer and autumn, and they look amazing - this isn't that moment (I reckon I'm about a week too late).
Still, to put a positive 'spin' on it, at least I actually made an attempt and took some pictures.
Better luck next year.
Autumn is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter usually in September (Northern Hemisphere) or March (Southern Hemisphere) when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier.
The equinoxes might be expected to be in the middle of their respective seasons, but temperature lag (caused by the thermal latency of the ground and sea) means that seasons appear later than dates calculated from a purely astronomical perspective. The actual lag varies with region. Some cultures regard the autumnal equinox as "mid-autumn", others with a longer lag treat it as the start of autumn.[1] Meteorologists (and most of the temperate countries in the southern hemisphere)[2] use a definition based on months, with autumn being September, October and November in the northern hemisphere,[3] and March, April and May in the southern hemisphere.
In North America, autumn is usually considered to start with the September equinox.[4] In traditional East Asian solar term, autumn starts on or around 8 August and ends on about 7 November. In Ireland, the autumn months according to the national meteorological service, Met Éireann, are September, October and November.[5] However, according to the Irish Calendar which is based on ancient Celtic traditions, autumn lasts throughout the months of August, September, and October, or possibly a few days later, depending on tradition. In Australia, autumn officially begins on March 1st and ends May 31st[6] According to United States unofficial tradition, autumn runs from the day after Labor Day (i.e. the Tuesday following the first Monday of September) through Thanksgiving (i.e. the fourth Thursday in November), after which the holiday season that demarcates the unofficial beginning of winter begins.

MCE hosted the Year 6 transition meeting with parents, PSLT, SSLT, and The Head of Year 7. All parties collaborated to discuss the best possible approach to ensure a smooth and successful transition into secondary school. The 80-minute conference provided parents with the opportunity to express their ideas, ask questions and meet the secondary team. It is a successful first step, and all our parents' ideas have taken on board. We foresee a successful and joyous transition into Year 7. Thank you for your continued input and participation.
