MUSK HAS BEEN ON A DETRIMENTAL TRANSITION
www.axios.com/2022/10/30/elon-musk-paul-pelosi-tweet-rumor
It's been just two days since Elon Musk officially bought Twitter. Already, the billionaire businessman is using the platform to spread misinformation to his 112 million followers — about the biggest U.S. news of the weekend.
Driving the news: Early on Sunday, Musk cited a widely-discredited website that implied the brutal attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul, wasn't carried out by an unhinged far-right blogger — but rather was linked to an anti-LGTBQ "theory" about a skirmish at a local bar.

This exchange between @HillaryClinton and @elonmusk should kill any remaining confidence advertisers had in the platform.

Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists.
Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.
THIS PROBLEM IS COINCIDENT WITH, AND AND A CONSEQUENCE OF YOUR "LEADERSHIP"

Elon Musk has spent the past 12 years tweeting whatever comes into his mind, often without major negative consequences. That was before he owned the place. Now, less than two weeks after his $44 billion purchase, the world’s richest man is finding that his actions—which recently included tweeting a baseless conspiracy theory to Hillary Clinton about the assault on Paul Pelosi—may actually have consequences. Advertisers are fleeing, the employees remaining after a round of mass layoffs are alienated, and onlookers are completely vexed by a freewheeling approach that has coincided with a rise in hate speech on the platform, among other problems.

Day is done but Transition Whatcom (Washington State) had a great 350 day event called the Perennial Project. We planted over 350 edible perennials in public places all over the county- at schools, businesses, and parks. These plants will bear food for years, especially the nut and fruit trees, and are a practical manifestation of the 350 goal to reduce carbon emissions. These are some of our fantastic edible perennial planters!

‘Class of 2010’
First of next year’s priestly class ordained a transitional deacon
By J.D. Long-García | June 4, 2009 | The Catholic Sun
When he was in first grade, Matthew Henry came home and told his mother about some kids at school who’d been fighting.
“Mom, I would never hit another person,” he told her.
“Why not?”
“They have Jesus inside of them,” he responded.
Henry’s mother, Becky, always had a feeling her son would do something special, she just didn’t know what it would be. She had a pretty good idea after his ordination as a transitional deacon May 16 at St. Theresa Parish. He’ll be ordained a priest in June 2010.
“He had something special to give,” she said. “We weren’t sure it would go this direction, but we’re glad that it did.”
Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted ordained Henry, with many priests and seminarians looking on. Fr. Don Kline, director of the Office of Vocations, gave the homily.
“You are called to be the opposite of what the modern world defines as successful,” he said, underscoring a deacon’s call to be a servant to others. “You are called to be like Jesus in His earthly sojourn.”
Each day at the seminary begins with time before the Blessed Sacrament, Deacon Henry said, adding that “everything else that happens during the day is based on that, and learning how to be silent.”
During the ordination Mass, Deacon Henry took vows of celibacy and obedience to the bishop. He can now preside at liturgical functions and serve as a deacon during Mass.
Deacon Henry will be serving at Queen of Peace Parish in Mesa this summer.
“He’s a tremendous witness to what it means to be a servant,” said Brian Rollo, a seminarian with the Phoenix Diocese who studies with Deacon Henry.
The newly ordained deacon has a special love for the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, according to Fr. Kline. Deacon Henry, a gifted musician, began leading praise and worship while a parishioner at St. Theresa.
“I was a youth minister when he started participating in the Life Teen program,” said Eric Westby, now the director of the Department of Family Catechesis.
“We didn’t know at the time we had a vocation, but we knew we had a great teenager,” he said. “He’s always been a great guy to be around. He’s going to be a tremendous asset to the Church.”
Deacon Henry will be ordained a priest in about a year alongside Chad King and John Parks, both of whom will be ordained transitional deacons Oct. 31 at St. Meinrad Seminary.
