This shot of Ryde Esplanade taken on 28th May 1974 shows the changeovers taking place during the decommissioning of the Pier Head signalbox and crossover and installation of colour light signalling and a crossover south of the station. The old semaphore signal on the right is still in use whilst the new colour light signal on the left awaits commissioning, whilst various materials lay around the site. To the left is the yard that would soon be replaced by the redeveloped bus station.

Started color correction and tone play recently and so far the results seem very encouraging :D.Any advice on how to improve the piece are more than welcome :)

The coming of spring as winter receeds is a time of transition.
Natures colors return and the prominence of winters white soon leaves.
Here an ice shelf hoovers almost one foot off the running water below.
The trick to calculate the transition from hazy skies to clear on top is to divide the surface temperature by 2 and add 10% IIRC.

The river Ganga (Ganges) which originates in the Gangotri glacier in the snow clad high Himalayas, descends down the mountains, reaches the plains, flows through ancient pilgrimage sites, and drains into the Bay of Bengal. A dip in the ocean, where the Ganga meets the sea is considered to be of great religious significance particularly on the Makara Sankranti day (January 14/15), when the sun makes a transition to Capricorn from Sagittarius. Almost a million of Hindu devotees from all over India gather at Gangasagar for a holy dip and perform rituals and prayer (puja) with a belief that it will cleanse and purify their souls.
Ganga Sagar - pain, bliss and sanctification
The Ganga Sagar Mela continues to throb with life, with the energy of millions of pilgrims. The pilgrimage may be extremely tough, but the pilgrims know that the visit will purify their souls. The visit fulfils their lifelong desire and often one can see tears of joy rolling down their cheeks. That is the magic of religion!

High Street Façade (Between Cashel and Lichfield streets)
High Street has a rich and interesting history. This design captures elements of the narrative of the areas history from early Māori through to late twentieth century Christchurch.
The histories of businesses in the area such as Flying Nun and Galaxy Records and the Chinese Takeaway on the corner of High, Manchester and Lichfield streets have been integrated into the facades panels, along with a focus on the local architecture. Other panels reflect food sources, bird life and plants that are native to this particular area. Also acknowledged in this work is Aoraki our maunga (mountain).
The Artist – Mark McEntyre
Christchurch design and manufacturing company Scenic Solutions constructed this 49 metre long, 2.4 metre tall façade. A range of materials was used including plywood, perspex and wire. An element of the concept was to create a sense of architectural scale.

Dublin, Ireland - Once my brain (and body) gets backs to pacific coast time I’m sure I’ll be able elaborate on this image; however I am fighting fatigue in which at least at this time seems to be a losing battle.
