Resources from throughout Santa Barbara County came together at UCSB to run a full scale HazMat drill. The scenario had Engine 17 arrive on scene to find a victim on the third floor surrounded by an unknown chemical. The victim was pronounced DOA and a full HazMat response was initiated. Santa Barbara County Fire, Santa Barbara City Fire, Lompoc Fire, Montecito Fire and Carp-Summerland Fire all took part in the drill.

What a day! This morning we rode on the Stratford International DLR extension on its first day; conversely, here's a steam train at a disused Waterloo International platform during the Railway Children backstage tour, which was excellent.

CBRN training at West Point teaches cadets to trust their equipment, which in this case -- their protective mask. Our cadets the learn what happens when equipment is not utilized properly inside the CS Gas Chamber.

Held from June 30 to July 11 2008 at IRRI, this training course provided participants with an understanding of the basics of rice production. The course included field visits to the main rice production regions in the Philippines. Training also included creating familiarity with the germplasm collection amd other science and rice farming resources at IRRI, an appreciation of the research to production model at IRRI and its developing partners, hands-on skills relating to all aspects of production and post-harvest, an understanding of international collaborations, and a plan and personal contacts for the participants to use on their return to their homes.

Iraqi National Policemen in formation listen to words of praise from their commander and an ambassador from the United States Army following a tactical demonstration held at the Ministry of Interior’s National Police Special Training Academy located at Camp Dublin, Iraq, July 16. The demonstration consisted of tactical vehicle movement, breaching a range house, securing a high value target and personal security detail performance.
Camp Smith Training Site - During New York Guard annual training, held from September 23-29th 2018, soldiers from all three Area Commands were assigned to run a Consolidated TOC (Tactical Operations Center), lead by the 88th Area Command. The Soldiers were trained in TOC operations in a live environment, by being given the responsibility over tracking all New York Guard operations and training occurring at Camp Smith that week. In addition to that responsibility, they also respond to multiple real world events that occurred, providing hands on TOC experience beyond what could be achieved in a classroom setting.
On September 28 2018, Brigadier General David Warager, Commander of the New York Guard, attended one the TOC briefings in-person, and congratulated the soldiers who operated the NYG annual training TOC for a job well done. Photos by Cpt Mark Getman/ New York Guard/Released.
