Chicken Top Ramen. Really not much more to say other than it makes a nice simple lunch. I like to pile some noodles onto ritz crackers and then pop them into my mouth :)

Spring Kimono Top by Liza Jane
Made from dark khaki linen and hand dyed fuchsia lace, metal buttons
Simplicity 2223 View B
The white tee underneath is also made by me, Burdastyle 2-2011, 102. It's actually a long sleeve tee that I modified- no sleeves, scoop neck and lingerie elastic sewn at the neckline instead of a binding.
I wanted to try my hand at dyeing something for a while now. I figured a bit of lace would be fun to start with. I did a sink dye with regular old Rit dye. I've been intrigued with this Simplicity pattern since it came out recently, especially the variation with the lace. I really like the kimono sleeve.
Thanks for the fun sewalong!

Taking a walk at Maybury State park The trees had almost shed their leaves, but some of the trees still had some nice ones at the top. When hit with the setting sun, it lit so vibrantly.

....... with a sugar peony and variegated ivy, trimmed with diamante.
Catherine carried pink and white peonies for her bouquet and the ivy featured very much in the decorations.

When we first moved here, we spent a lot of time searching for a decent Mexican restaurant. Sadly, we gave up the search and decided that it just doesn't exist. Maybe living in New Mexico for so long spoiled us. Whenever we go back to Albuquerque. we make a point to eat a few good Mexican meals to tide us over.
When our friends came to visit the other day (from New Mexico), Bill said he was craving Mexican food. We explained that it just wasn't worth it here, and we went out for Italian.
Well, listening to him talk about green chilies had ME craving Mexican food! And the next night Charles and I went to Bennys. We ate here once before, and I didn't care for it. But it's a fun, lively place; and I remembered that their margaritas were good. I was pleasantly surprised about how much I enjoyed my Huevos Rancheros! And, as a bonus, they even have a vegetarian sauce!
Maybe I am becoming less of a Mexican food snob.
So Coloradoans: What's your favorite Mexican Restaurant? I am open to trying some more!
PS: Chris: Proof that I don't just drink Martinis!

Just finished editing a couple of still life photos taken for Kim Klassen's class Be Still One Year Wiser. This was edited in LR with Kim's preset "kk_moodyish"
Took my little brother, who was driving through Cruces after interning for Space X for his second time, to the top of Soledad Canyon a couple weeks ago. It was a good time. Just forgot to bring the cigar.

Since I can't cut an entire sheet, and the curve of this part makes stretching a hex pattern over it very difficult, I've only covered parts of the top with the hex pattern. I'll airbrush selectively within these sections to hide the fact that the whole pattern isn't repeated across the entire surface.
Not bad going for a little spaniel - she climbed Cadair Idris with us all the way to the top - almost 800 metres on those tiny legs :) Way to go, Maggie!
OurDailyChallenge "Table Top Photography"
I know this is not exactly what was called for on this challenge, but I decided it was open to interpretation and I ended up here. This is the top of our coffee table which was originally painted green but has seen much of that paint worn off over the years. It dates to the late 1800s.
