In similar style to the curved front of Charles Holden's South Wimbledon and Tooting Broadway stations on the southern extension to the Northern Line is Tooting Common.

This fictional station has now been installed on the layout beyond the end of the parade of shops. A (very) low relief office building is fitted against the rear backscene board.

There is some gorgeous blossoms to be found in Tooting, either on the street as in this case or in some of the local graveyards which have an amazing variety of trees and widlife.

A few years ago, reluctantly picked out of the "is it worth putting on flickr?" folder.

In this picture we can see a huge tongue-like form, which looks a like a mudflow with boulders on its surface. This “tongue” is only a small part of a larger deposit that completely surrounds Tooting Crater (not visible in this image). This is part of what is called an “ejecta blanket.”

The old ones are the best ones, back in the day you'd find a Banksy around every corner around Old Street ....

An extension to the lighting circuit wiring has enabled some lampposts to be installed on the second baseboard. I've also lit the tube station and cinema.

The station is in the style of those on the southern extension of the Northern Line , designed by Charles Holden. This is a one off model, but the similar angled style is available in the Kingsway Models range.
