Went hunting for some owls this evening. I found this one as the light was fading. This shot was taken after sunset. I enjoyed the mood in the darker dim setting. He was tooting on this snag that was just above some bushes. Image was slightly cropped on the left. A nice way to end 2021 for me : D

Mummy Marian gave Fuzzy a present
He is sometimes sad because he misses his native Canada.
ME:
Dear Fuzzy.... I have a surprise for you
FUZZY:
Especially for me??
ME:
Yes Fuzzy...just for you
You can play with it and then you don't have to think about Canada so often.
FUZZY:
A present!
(Fuzzy takest it out of the box)
WOW! A car!
Oh...thank you so much Mummy Marian (gives her a hug)
I'm going to play with it right away.
ME:
Have fun with it Fuzzy!
Would you like a cup of tea with a slice of cake?
FUZZY:
Yess... please!
Vroom, vrooom.....toooooot...tooooot!

The conductor on CSX train M791 covers his ears as the engineer whistles for the road crossing behind me. The local job is in the process of pulling the interchange with the West Tenessee, who is waiting around the corner with another cut of cars to shove in. L&N veteran GP38-2 #2649 leads a newer GP40-3 rebuild on this train today.

This train set is from when my kids were young. I saved it for my Grandkids. I had so much fun putting this together, I was easily distracted from my photography.
My son said I should have put Thomas out front, but he was resting in the roundhouse. I think this is Percy.
Jane is giving us a "Toot Toot" or possibly "Honk Honk" gesture.
Maybe she's looking to arm wrestle?

EXPLORE: #145
I just had to toot my own horn here. ;-)
Three of my photos were published (and credited to me), in the new 2009-2010 Interfaith of The Woodlands Directory!
It's quite a large book - 992 pages, actually. A combination telephone directory and great source of information about The Woodlands community (almost 90,000 residents now!)
Here are two of the shots. And look - the picture on the right is Junebug with her mom, Tammi! ;-)
The shot on the left is one I took of the pond at Creekwood Park. The third shot was smaller and was of one of the Village shopping centers.
I was so surprised to see these pictures! Someone from Interfaith emailed me a while back to ask permission to use a shot of the Interfaith building. But it turns out, they didn't use that shot at all, but found three others to print.
Thanks for indulging me - I just had to share this with you - I can't deny that it made my day.
UPDATE:
tickled pink1 www.flickr.com/photos/pinkiezoo/ went the extra mile and found the directory online! Here's the link to the above pages :
