HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DADDY!
I apologize for my lack of photo taking. I can almost promise I will be using past photos until Sunday. =/
I won for Homecoming Princess!! Which I am pretty stoked about because I am not exactly what one would call popular. So, I had to stay after to do a run-through for tomorrow's assembly. And after that, I had to help create and hang posters for the homecoming decorations for my class since I got put in charge of it, which I believe I explained the other day. It went pretty smoothly for the first hour or so. Then everyone left when it was halfway done. Thankfully, one of the basketball managers came and helped me (Taylor, if you by any chance read this, you are FANTASTIC!) and another class officer helped me out. I think it was fairly successful. Going to try and get a few more things added before the assembly. Also, a friend of mine from Leadership and I got to type up the speech for the assembly and game. We did it for the Football Homecoming at the beginning of the year and got a lot of compliments on how well we did. Sadly, I don't get to read it with her since I am going to be in it this time.
So I was taking some photos of the Moon last night and then this happened...
Had to put my name on this beauty 😂

This quilt was made using Lecien fabrics: First of Infinity and L's Modern Basics. The checker block was designed by Jess from
theelvengarden.blogspot.ca/ I moved the blocks around and around until I settled on this layout! It measures 47x60
I used 5 colours of Aurifil 40wt thread to do organic grid quilting. For the back, I used some leftover fabrics with white and grey- it's a little off kilter, but who cares!!
thank you, thank you SO much to dear Katie - AKA LuckyGirlLefty for getting me a pro account. It's the idea that she even believes I'm worthy of a 'pro' account that humbles me. Katie was one of the first people that I met on flickr. She has such an amazing way of being able to pair incredibly beautiful pictures with touching words and verses, which is something i envy. I feel as though i know her very well even if we've never met.
I look up to Katie not only as a photographer, but as a mother who has helped mold what i see as the most beautiful, free spirited young lady. Thank you Katie for being a friend and such an inspiration to me.
thank you to ground*floor for the awesome textures
looks like i have a lot to be thankful for!
