Space set-up/installation. Starting image.

A long black tissue rectangle hangs on the wall. A white 'cloud' of tissue paper is suspended from the ceiling, counterbalanced by a pair of scissors. The cloud hangs over a rectangle frame shape on the floor, made out of blank photo papers.

I've made an Easter present for my niece and I can't wait to give it to her on Sunday!

I caught a cold on my trip but had no problem keeping tissue paper within reach! :)

A simple wash over the paper you are going to work on - I used a spary wash but anything would do - painted, inked, stained etc.

Here are the pinatas in which the tissue paper is drying on them, getting ready for them to be decorated.

... when a tissue paper and a rubber band can do the job more or less the same?

I was a little bored today, so I was rummaging through years of junk that I've been collecting over the years when the red tissue paper caught my eye.

I fastened it around my D50's flash with a rubber band and presto! My very own ghetto filter! I had to pump up the strength of the flash though, from 1/8th of its power to half.

Tissue paper decoupaged on 12x12" cardboard. It's a few layers thick so far...I love Mod Podge!

This was final piece for my Art A-Level coursework project.

Here are some Christmas and potential Valentine's Day stickers I picked up.

i made this card for my mom's birthday. (it's a craptastic photo...the original had very low light, and i fiddled with it in iphoto to ill effect. the color is fairly accurate, but the glue is not so apparent.)

anyway, over the last year or so i've been determined to make nearly all the cards i send to people. i've gotten very comfortable cutting out letters, but i wanted to go in a new direction for the background. i tried to do a sort of modern collage-type thing -- like making a tree out of random parts of magazine ads that are brownish and greenish -- but it was pretty bad. so i thought i'd go the tissue paper route (this is from a boden package).

I had to make 48 paper flowers for Kip's shower. They weren't that difficult but I conned Emily and Heidi into helping me at various times. These are the paper castoffs from making petals. I actually think this garbage is quite pretty!

These red ones were my favorite -- the most dramatic looking. These are the "Bubble Petal" flowers.

My aunt asked, "Can you make everything black and white except for the tissue boquet?" I said, "I can try." Well, I succeeded! :)
