The view from the Tip Top Grill can be fantastic, but when we went to shoot the sunset it was very hazy and the partly cloudy conditions quickly gave way to cloud cover that stretched all the way to Texas. No hope the sun would peak under the clouds and paint their bellies pink and orange. As a side, I wonder why the Tip Top Grill is only open for breakfast and lunch when a dinner view of the sunset over Shades Valley could be fantastic.

I love it when this happens. It was a picture of a tree. When it popped out of the camera I blocked it from the light with a MILK 4th edition box from TIP's Color Shade series. Somehow the writing became superimposed on the picture. Cool.
Back in the 1960's, the Twycross Zoo Chimpanzees were famous TV stars, appearing in a number of adverts for Brooke Bond PG Tips Tea ( The tea you can really taste!) Including Iconic characters like Mr Shifter

and Cyril the Cyclist ("Avez vous un cuppa?)
Some memorabillia from this period was on display as part of the Memorial exhibition for Zoo co-founder Molly Badham, MBE who died last year.
