These dandelion seeds tremble on tippy toes waiting for a mere puff of wind to head for the nearest lawn.

I'm sure some of my birder friends cringe when they see a non-scientific (or correct!) description for a bird!

But this Egret was just prancing as I fired off a few shots!

Thanks for looking, etc.:)

i know i added this shot to some different groups, but please try not to comment using big, flashy icons/logos and the like! thanks!

Anyone who really knows me, knows that I walk on my toes. Its not because I want to be a ballerina, it's just something I've always done. As a result, I have some killer, strong calves...and I usually have no problem walking in high heels. If there is one phrase I have heard my mom say to me about a million times, it is "Aly, put your heels down!"

I have this thing where I end up on my toes when I am painting real clean shit....I don't really understand why?

If lalaloopsy's weren't so horrible with quality control I'd just get one online, but yeaaaa... I have to usually look over ten of the damn things before I find one with minimal factory flaws.

These 3 old granaries were some of the many fantastic finds in the old farm we stopped at while on our country road tour last weekend with Jim, Sharon and Jack. Thanks again Jim for stopping here.

Very hard not to pop a heel when on tippy toe.

The veeery tippy-top of a tree!

So here's the long story behind the photo: I was strolling(contentedly) across the yard when I had a flash of brilliance!(a rarity to be sure) Professional photomographers shoot in RAW don't they? (now I prefer RAWR, a lesser known yet wonderful format) So I tried shooting in RAW. So far, so good. I went inside, and stuck my SD card into my laptop. It wouldn't read RAW files. Neither would GIMP. Foiled! So I looked around the internet, and found a program called 'Raw Therapee' (okay Dan, that's enough with the brackets) It was slow, which was my computers fault(I still love you). Of course, it crashed. I got it running long enough to convert the RAW files to jpeg's, and opened them in GIMP. The sheer amount of noise was atrocious. In fact, you may still see some noise in there. I messed around for a bit, and figured out how to use a selective gaussian blur to rid the photomograph of most of the noise. And so here we are, if you managed to read this far. Was it worth it?
