I was on a bridge crane. There was more or less a straight shot to get to this point--staircases and ladders to go up, and eventually walking out to reach the mid point along the girder itself, which had substantial width. Consider, though, that every cross beam the whole length of the mill supports four fluorescent light fixtures, and it would have been someone's job to replace the bulbs.
Zhen Zhen ventures way out on the limbs of her tree to get a birds eye view of the keepers preparing lunch for her. See Photo below of Zhen Zhen showing off her climbing skills on 8/21/2009, she was in the main exhibit last year having just turned 2.
This sweet lil girl was probably the most energetic toddler I have shot so far! She would not stay still for even a second! It was a miracle I was able to get any good shots lol. I caught this one right before she ran off. I thought it was cute how she is on her tiptoes :)
Wood Duck
I occasionally do some bird photography, and I think this is the first time I've photographed a wood duck. Taken this morning before work, making a stop at Green Timbers, and urban forest park, only about 2.5 kilometres from home.

Finch stretches to nibble a pussy willow. The buds are opening weeks early but this morning everything is soggy from a layer of wet snow.
He was standing on the baseboards looking out the window. I thought his toes looked so cute so I snapped a picture...
A group of deer around this tree took turns standing upright on their hind legs and plucking tasty bites off the branches. I missed the shot each time so all I have to share here is this deer stretching up to nibble on a branch.

Tippy is a permanent resident at Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.
I am not sure about his past, so I don't know if he was injured or orphaned. He cannot be released back into the wild because of over socializing with humans.

Good morning everyone. Just a single pic today of a male Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis) in the obelisk stance for which it earns a perfect score of 10. Taken on a hot August day at the pond across the street. And this dragonfly gives tippy toes a whole new meaning by how it's perched on the end of the stick.
