MISSION LOG # 12 – THIRD PLANETARY SURVEY OF INGEMAR
Star Date: 2551.06.17 11:00 hrs
The mission commenced at Phorcys Base Landing Pad with the following crew present:
• Fazzy Constantine
• T5 “Tinman” – At Resilient Operations
• Zorathanus Thane
• Chastian Necrosa
• Noah Constantine
• Bansealgair
• Sparky Frenzy
• C.A.R.L.
• Eric Regulus
The mission parameters were twofold. Personnel were split into two teams:
1) Team Mjölnir - Fazzy, Zor, Sparky & Eric were to investigate any remaining orbs and if possible, make contact with the leviathan, and if possible, obtain information on the operation of the quantum slip drive.
2) Team Gungnir - Chastian, Noah, Bansealgair, and CARL were to further explore and assess the undersea caverns which, on Mission #11, showed some interesting scan results.
The team departed from Phorcys moon pool aboard the two existing submarines.
Team Mjölnir
The team departed the moon pool and did a brief reconnoiter of the area previously surveyed. The brass-and-glass habitat was still intact, with lighting active. The power source for the lighting is unknown, unless bioluminescence is employed. The marker beacon was relocated, adjacent to a previously-examined structure that appears to have been carved out of coral. Inside that small, square structure is embedded several orbs, similar to those recovered from Jasper McFudd. Approximately 10 meters from the beacon is a much larger arch, similar in shape and size to the gateway on Idun used by Escanor. The toolmarks all over it suggest it is constructed and not a natural phenomenon. Its proximity to the orbs also suggest they are in some way connected. Using the grappling arms of the submarine, the orbs were collected from the coral formation.
Shortly thereafter, we explored an abyssal trench which revealed no results except an uncatalogued variant of an angler fish. As we ascended, intense seismic activity was noted, and immediately upon exiting the abyss, the submarine was caught in a vortex and forced to the seabed. Oxygen supplies were dwindling, and the vessel was unable to leave the bottom. It was at this point that the leviathan appeared from the same trench we had just left, rising up to look into the submarine. The team switched over to their EVA environments; the submarine’s oxygen supply had been depleted. Communication was established with the leviathan. Attempts were made to glean some more information on the precise operation of the Quantum Drive, but the leviathan refused to cooperate. It did state that the reapers were not unique to the Milky Way, but were in several galaxies and continue to wreak destruction on civilizations. Some of its comments were self-contradictory, and devoid of the linear, logical though patterns one would expect of a species with such intelligence. Offers were made to ally with each other, but they were refused. After pointing out the lack of logic in that decision, the leviathan had a system failure – “Enough theatrics! My time has been wasted enough.....####124 ERROR...SYSTEM FAILURE. REBOOTING...PLEASE WAIT” – and then dissolved before our eyes. No further contact or communication was received by the leviathan. It appeared to be a holographic projection.
Control of the submarine was re-established and the team made an emergency ascent to the Phorchys moon pool.
Team Gungnir
The team left the Phorchys moon pool, and headed for the cavern discovered on the prior survey mission. The interior had not yet been explored, but showed several interesting readings on scans, and visual observations from the opening. The team exited the submarine to proceed into the cavern. Immediately upon entering and clearing a field of kelp, the team discovered a plethora of crystals on the cave walls and floor. Examination of the crystal formations showed they contain a high degree of zero-point energy within the crystal matrix. A sample was secured for further analysis, but initial impressions were that they harbor massive quantities of energy. The strength of the crystal made the lattice impervious to any cutting tools on-hand, so a crystal was recovered whole.
At this point, Team Mjölnir was in distress, so the team returned to their submarine. On arrival, they discovered their oxygen supplies were depleted, so they too made an emergency ascent to the moon pool at Phorcys.
Both Teams
Once both teams had disembarked their submarines, a communication was received at Phorcys. The voiceprint and nature of the communications was consistent with Jasper McFudd; the voice self-identified as “Master McFudd.” He stated we were on his base, which he indicated was intentionally made to appear abandoned. He also stated the leviathan was his, a “holographic reaper,” which we disabled, and “this is not over.” McFudd further stated that there are no longer any reapers; he is making holographic versions, but did not elaborate on the purpose. He stated our prior dispatch of McFudd was one of his clones. Attempts to triangulate the source of the transmission were not successful.
Other Actions and Conclusions:
• The orbs recovered from the sea bed are secured in the fume hood on Phorcys.
• The crystal recovered from the cave has been moved to the maintenance section of Resilient, and is secured in a level-10 containment field.
• Jasper McFudd is at large and represents an ongoing threat to BluShock.
Speculation:
• McFudd may have been the builder of the old brass habitat on the sea bed; the leviathan may have been a security or defense mechanism. It may have scared off the Exogen scientists, if McFudd’s assertion that Phorcys base is his is untrue, and it likely is.
• McFudd’s communications and holo-emitters may be located in the brass habitat.
• McFudd had a clone on Tyr, and a holographic reaper on Ingemar. Both planets house natural resources that represent tremendous power sources. Both the clone and the hologram appear to be there to scare off others who may make the same discovery and wish to collect those resources.
• The crystal from Ingemar, in particular, represents the potential of something that changes the nature of power generation and potentially propulsion. It's a leap, an order of magnitude over a matter-antimatter reaction, or even the Odsy drive. This is potentially a galaxy-changing development. The power and influence that can be held by someone with that level of technology cannot be overestimated. This alone gives McFudd substantial motivation to do anything necessary to protect his interests.
• In the wrong hands, this technology could lead to very bad outcomes for existing civilizations.
• McFudd knows we have some of this material. He may have clones seeded throughout the galaxy. It cannot be known to what extent he, or his agents have infiltrated existing governmental structures. Anyone seen as a threat is assumed to be in danger.
Casualties: One
• Sparky suffered minor motion sickness.
Damage:
• Both submarines will need to be overhauled and recharged, but they are undamaged.
Follow-on Actions:
• Repair of both submarines
• Initiate mining activity to recover all possible crystals.
• Broadcast a bounty for an intact McFudd clone, delivered in stasis.
• Engage in merchant missions to sell the dilithium recovered from Tyr; funds required to pay bounties.
• Conduct continuing examination and testing of the recovered crystal, with analysis of practical applications.
• Dietary restriction initiated on Sparky – no cheese sandwiches prior to missions.
Finally picked up my camera again; it had been over a month since I last used it.
Spent 30 minutes playing around a planter filled with Bleeding Hearts. Testing out distance and DOF. Monkeying with all the manual options. An enjoyable 1/2 hour after work.
A few wigs came for the wee ones! The "porcelain blue" one I adore with Sophie's skin color, it's gorgeous! The pink one on Apricot will be used for one more girl coming. The pink one is very nice too! Poor Apricot though still has no wig!
This was such a fun project to work on. If you have a second, look at all the pics from the event on my site. It was a CRAZY amount of work but well worth it in the end. :)

Taeyang Tinman from The Wizard of Oz. He was part of a combo deal when I bought my Pullip Nanette Erica version. And before anyone comes for me, I realize how inaccurate this is to the movie (since it’s roses instead of poppies & TinMan didn’t sleep since he’s not made from flesh), I just thought it looked cute…

Mission Log # 10 – Return to Vanaheim System, Planetary Survey of Ingemar
Star Date: 2551.06.03 12:00 hrs
The mission commenced at Resilient Base Hangar Deck with the following crew present:
• Fazzy Constantine
• T5 “Tinman”
• Zorathanus
• Noah Constantine
• Bansealgair
• Eric Regulus
The mission parameters were twofold:
1) Spin up the quantum drive and attempt to return Baldur to the Vanaheim System.
a) “Big Brother,” the communications relay we left in Baldur’s orbit, has been sending odd signals from the system. They are too weak to decipher completely, and without a second array, the source cannot be located.
2) Assuming the primary mission is successful, isolate and identify the source of the signal, and investigate further.
The team departed Resilient aboard Kodiak and proceeded to the lower cavern, where the quantum drive was activated. A smoother transition was completed in this instance, and star charts placed us in or original orbit around Vanaheim. Tinman was able to locate the source of the relayed transmissions as originating from Vanaheim -3, also known as “Ingemar,” a Class-O (oceanic) planet. The current orbit of Baldur is very close to perigee (the point at which we departed), and Ingemar was a short impulse flight away. Kodiak was used to move to Ingemar with stealth; Tinman had warned that current atmospheric conditions would be difficult. He was correct. Immediately upon entering the atmosphere, heavy thunderstorms and winds buffeted the ship. Impulse intakes became waterlogged, requiring the impulse intakes to be shut down, and to proceed on maneuvering thrusters.
Shortly thereafter, the ship was struck by an electromagnetic phenomenon. Initially thought to be an unusually powerful lightning strike, later analysis of damaged components strongly suggests a targeted electro-magnetic pulse was used to disable the ship. An emergency landing was performed on an existing landing pad. After a brief survey of damaged ship systems, the team performed a safety-and-security reconnoitering of the facility on which we landed. The existing signal antenna was re-powered, and communication was re-established with Resilient Base. A number of discoveries were made:
• Ingemar has a rocky core, parts of which extend over current sea levels.
• The facility was built by, or for, use by humanoid life. This is evidenced by the size and placement of doors, stairs, control panels, and the arrangements of cockpits of vehicles located therein.
• Technology lags behind current standards. Antique conventional electrical generation and distribution systems are in use. This suggests that the facility was built in the distant past. Given the levels of corrosion, it may have been built shortly before the transition from electrical to EPS systems.
• Two submarine vehicles are moored in a moon pool on the base. Their configuration is consistent with humanoid use, and it indicates that frequent underwater operations were part of the facility’s purpose.
• Docks placed on the surface show several cargo containers, along with four orbs, consistent with those possessed by Jasper McFudd. Three are able to be recovered. The fourth was destroyed by Commander Constantine, in what he described as a ‘scientific experiment.’
• The waters surrounding this area are littered with the wreckage of other ships, some of unknown origin or configuration. Life signs were negative; rescue was not possible.
Visible from the landing pad was a smaller and much older platform which appeared to have been hewn from the existing rock. On that platform was a stone-and-mortar foundation, which appears to be much older than the facility on which we landed. Kodiak was flown down to that level, and the archaeology was inspected further.
• The foundation, which is less than a meter over sea level, contains a flight of stairs leading down into a series of storage grottoes. Metal gates, wall-mounted torches, wooden crates, and clay amphorae were all located beneath the surface, suggesting this complex was once above sea level.
o It may have been built during a prior ice age, and is now flooded.
o Additional water may have reached the planet, by meteorite or other means.
• Further investigation of this complex shows it to end at sheer cliff. The abyss beyond extends down approximately 100 meters. On the sea bed was observed a small round habitation. Light emitting from inside suggests the use of artificial power, or bioluminescence for lighting. Outside of the habitation sits a vessel. It does not appear to be damaged, and its position and attitude on the sea bed suggest intentional placement as opposed to wreckage that found the sea floor.
Access to these deeper artifacts were not possible. Air supplies were limited, and no path down to them could be visualized. It may require the use of the facility’s submarine vehicles. The team withdrew to Kodiak for departure. Given the destruction of Kodiak’s electronic systems, secondary-redundant hydraulic systems were employed to operate the control systems. Flight was by strongarm control and dead-reckoning navigation. Kodiak made an emergency approach and landing to Resilient base and landed without further damage. Space suits and other equipment were sequestered for inspection after exposure to saline, and EMP weaponry. Appropriate repairs were made.
Other Conclusions:
• The EMP that struck the ship was too powerful, and too focused to be a natural phenomenon. This suggests either conscious intent, or automated defense systems are in place on the planet, and also
• There is evidence of long-term humanoid habitation on the planet. Other life forms could not be assessed as a result of the disabled sensor array.
• The orbs on the surface may be connected with those possessed by McFudd, and those recovered on Tyr.
• Communications signals brought us both to Tyr and to Ingemar. This and the orbs suggest a strong connection between Idun, Baldur, Tyr, and Ingemar. The nature of this connection is unknown, but could dramatically impact the safety and stability of our current operation.
Casualties: Remarkably, None
Damage: Extensive
• Kodiak’s EPS and computer systems are destroyed. Extensive damage was sustained to all isolinear chips, sensors, deflectors, shields, communications, and other electronic components.
• Minor damage to some electronic components to space suits.
Follow-on Actions:
• Overhaul of Kodiak, including repair to existing systems and enhancement to protect against additional EMP exposure.
• Launch a planetary probe, or a series of probes into Ingemar.
• Prepare plans for additional missions to the surface.
• Investigate the connections between the orbs, Idun, Baldur, Tyr, and Ingemar, and assess for safety or security threats to BluShock.
• Research enhancing EVA gear for better use underwater.
Mission Report: Veiled Nexus

Crew Present:
• Fazzy Constantine (Alias: Aeson Varr)
• Tinman
• Vahenir (Alias: Rontig)
• Daisy MacKenzie (Alias: Minnie Maxwell)
• Scrap (Alias: Murder Mason)
• Zeth Ryder (Alias: Solomon Gunn)
• Varik (Alias: Isaac)
• Chastian Necrosa (Alias: Splicer)
• Robotgirl (Alias: Roberta)
Special Appearance:
Idris (Antiques Seller)
Mission Overview:
The time was rapidly approaching to uncover the true nature of the artifact concealed by Governor Hom Tarris. The BluShock crew gathered in their safehouse to review the events of the past week. Undercover operations had been conducted within the Cartel, with certain crew members posing as criminals to infiltrate the Cartel's warehouse. This deception was essential for gaining the trust required to access the secured server room.
Undercover Operations and Warehouse Infiltration:
Zeth Ryder and Varik, under the aliases Solomon Gunn and Isaac respectively, joined the Cartel later than others but had convincing backstories that facilitated their integration. Following a thorough briefing in the safehouse, the crew proceeded towards the warehouse, encountering Idris, an enigmatic antiques seller, along the way. After a brief exchange, the crew continued to the warehouse, where the new recruits were introduced to Cranky Carl and the other operatives.
Carl, satisfied with their performance, granted Fazzy, Vahenir, and Daisy access to the upper floor, as they had completed the most assignments for the Cartel. Upon verifying their identities, the trio proceeded to the server room. Inside, they discovered a note containing an encrypted password, left carelessly by a Cartel member. With this information, Fazzy and Vahenir accessed the encrypted files.
Discoveries within the Server Room:
The files revealed extensive information about Ronald Maccie, a former Cartel member, and his schemes. The data included details on the Starfire Cartel's operations, financial records, and their obsession with the artifact. Notably, it was uncovered that Ronald, Carl, and Hom Tarris had been secretly collaborating to unlock the artifact, with limited success. The arrival of the BluShock crew had disrupted their plans, leading to the Cartel's attempts to undermine the crew.
The files also disclosed that Hom, Ronald, and Carl were members of the Radiant Order, a cult previously encountered by BluShock on the jungle world of Sirun. This revelation was startling, linking the Cartel's activities to the cult's worship of ancient ships.
Descent to the Surface and Initial Exploration:
With the critical data downloaded, the crew received a surface pass from the Governor and prepared to descend. Vahenir scouted a landing site for Daisy's Albatross dropship, ensuring a safe descent despite the unstable terrain. Upon landing, the crew disembarked to find stunning landscapes featuring a vast lake, ice-capped mountains, and a distant spaceship wreck that intrigued Daisy. A pirate ship docked by the lake indicated the presence of SteamPirates.
Confrontation with Pirates:
Approaching the docked ship, the crew overheard voices from a locked room. A voice on the speaker threatened the crew, leading to an ambush by waves of pirates emerging from the water. The BluShock crew's combat prowess quickly turned the tide, eliminating the pirate threat. Vahenir confirmed there were no remaining pirates underwater before Daisy breached the locked door, revealing MacDonald Maccie, Ronald's twin brother, and his associates Jom and Terry.
Under interrogation, MacDonald provided crucial information about internal conflicts within the Cartel, Ronald's obsession with the artifact, and the circumstances leading to their current predicament. MacDonald expressed his disinterest in the artifact, focusing instead on piracy and smuggling, and revealed Ronald's betrayal and escape towards the artifact.
Confrontation at the Artifact:
Navigating through the woods, the crew reached the artifact, guarded by hostile personnel. A tense exchange ensued, with the guards becoming aggressive and initiating combat. The crew swiftly neutralized the threat and began examining the artifact. At this critical juncture, Hom Tarris, Cranky Carl, and Ronald appeared, applauding the crew's efforts.
Hom Tarris issued an ultimatum, threatening to destroy the region unless the crew unlocked the artifact. Fazzy agreed to buy time, while Zeth covertly hacked into Hom's detonator, successfully disabling it. The crew continued their efforts to unlock the artifact, with Chastian and Vahenir working on deciphering its mechanisms.
The Artifact Unveiled:
The artifact's protective barrier shattered, revealing a golden galactic egg. Hom Tarris was captivated by the sight, pushing others aside to get a closer look. The crew drew their weapons, ready to end the standoff, when Saeed Massani descended from the sky, revealing himself as an undercover space cop investigating Hom and Carl. Saeed's intervention exposed the full extent of their crimes, leading to Ronald's attempted escape and subsequent elimination by Scrap.
Mission Debrief and Conclusion:
Back at the warehouse, Saeed took control, planning to reform the Cartel. Daisy advised disbanding the Cartel, a suggestion Saeed considered. The crew retired to the bar, where Fazzy compiled a comprehensive report for Chelly Kambers, detailing the mission's events and outcomes.
Mission Veiled Nexus was a resounding success. The BluShock crew dismantled a web of corruption, secured the golden galactic egg, and ensured the colony's safety. With newfound knowledge and experience, the crew stands ready for future challenges, prepared to face whatever lies ahead in their ongoing adventures.

Mission Report: Ironclad Dominion - SteelStrand City
Date: 02-17-2324
The mission briefing commenced in the Command Information Centre (CIC) of the Spectre, with a complement of crew members present:
• Marcus Croft
• Fazzy Constantine
• Eric Regulus
• Tinman
• Bansealgair
• Vahenir
• Sparrow
• Daisy
• Chastian
• Robotgirl
• Scrap
• Alpha
This marked the crew's inaugural briefing in the newly established CIC. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as Captain Tinman and Commander Constantine outlined the details of their upcoming mission on the planet Serados, within the Rykon territory, specifically targeting SteelStrand City, a prominent trade outpost.
Prior to the briefing, diplomatic channels were utilized by the command to liaise with SteelStrand officials, ensuring a smooth arrival under the government's auspices. Emphasis was placed on maintaining discretion, given the potentially delicate nature of the city's governance.
Of note, Marcus Croft, a recent native of SteelStrand City, had previously established connections within the locale, affording him certain privileges and insights. His counsel, alongside that of the XO, Eric Regulus, and the command, underscored the importance of adherence to local ordinances and norms to avoid unnecessary attention or punitive measures. Respect for the city's regulations and deference to its authorities were strongly advised.
Following the briefing, the crew gathered on the observation deck as the Spectre entered orbit around Serados. Upon confirmation from SteelStrand ground control, appropriate docking procedures were followed, leading the crew to disembark in the city's spaceport.
Upon arrival, registration as citizens was completed to facilitate access to designated areas. Marcus Croft guided the crew to the Sigil, their designated base of operations during their stay in SteelStrand City.
Once settled, the crew's initial objectives included familiarising themselves with the city's layout and establishing rapport within the local community. A visit to a nearby pub provided an opportunity for social interaction, albeit interrupted by the unbidden entrance of Felix Hopper, a known figure and supposed "El'Aurian" in the area, issuing cryptic warnings of impending danger.
Despite the disturbance, the crew maintained composure and subsequently engaged in informative discourse with the establishment's staff, garnering valuable insights into local customs and regulations.
Subsequent exploration led by Scrap, Vahenir, and Fazzy provided additional context regarding the city's socioeconomic landscape, encountering notable landmarks and encountering guarded areas, presumably of strategic significance.
Their observations and interactions, documented with discretion, contribute to the ongoing assessment of SteelStrand City and its environs.
With the completion of their initial reconnaissance, the crew is poised to delve deeper into their mission objectives, leveraging their newfound understanding of the city's dynamics.
Meanwhile, Scrap, Vahenir, and Fazzy ventured out as night fell. They explored the market, interacted with a busker, visited Tonald's Diner (learning it was a reference to a fictional cartoon character, and also their former nemesis), and encountered a garage worker repairing a sports car. They stumbled upon a guarded nuclear tower near an SVI HQ or Embassy, possibly linked to the Stellar Vanguard Initiative. They were warned to leave the area or obtain a permit. Pressing on, they inspected cheap rentable pods before nearing a dangerous-looking cordoned-off area near a security checkpoint and police-controlled zone.
Adhering to warnings, they returned to the city, visited the food market, and sampled Space Shrimp Dumplings. They then retired to the Sigil, their forward operations base during their stay.
With their initial exploration completed, the crew prepares to delve deeper into the city, align with factions, and undertake their mission objectives.
End of report.
Conclusions:
The initial foray into SteelStrand City has provided the BluShock crew with valuable insights into the city's societal dynamics, regulatory framework, and potential challenges. Key highlights from the mission report include:
• Local Dynamics: The city is characterised by a mix of industrial activity, governmental control, and the presence of various factions, including law enforcement and criminal elements.
• Marcus Croft's Influence: Marcus Croft's pre-existing connections within the city afford the crew certain privileges and insights, enhancing their operational capabilities.
• Adherence to Regulations: The crew's adherence to local regulations and respect for authorities is crucial to avoiding unwanted attention and legal repercussions.
• Cryptic Warning: Felix Hopper's cryptic warning about the Djinn and their "machines of Death" hints at potential threats lurking within the city. Further investigation is warranted to assess the validity of this warning.
• Exploratory Endeavors: Scrap, Vahenir, and Fazzy's exploratory endeavors shed light on notable landmarks, guarded areas, and potential points of interest, including the SVI HQ or Embassy and the guarded nuclear tower.
Follow-On Actions:
• Investigate Felix Hopper's Warning: Further investigation is required to ascertain the veracity of Felix Hopper's warning about the Djinn and their potential threat to SteelStrand City. This may involve gathering additional intelligence from local sources and conducting reconnaissance missions in areas of interest.
• Establish Contact with Local Factions: Building rapport with key factions within SteelStrand City, including law enforcement, governmental authorities, and influential individuals, will be essential for navigating the city's complex political landscape and gathering actionable intelligence.
• Enhance Situational Awareness: Given the presence of guarded areas and potential threats, the crew should remain vigilant and prioritise enhancing situational awareness through surveillance and reconnaissance efforts.
• Continue Exploration: The crew should continue their exploration of SteelStrand City, identifying potential allies, resources, and strategic locations that may aid in achieving mission objectives.
• Prepare Contingency Plans: In anticipation of unforeseen challenges or hostile encounters, the crew should develop contingency plans and operational protocols to ensure the safety and success of their mission.
By implementing these follow-on actions, the BluShock crew can effectively navigate the complexities of SteelStrand City, mitigate potential risks, and advance towards achieving their mission objectives.

My twin sister Loretta and her husband Frank came up to Seattle from Portland for a visit yesterday. Seattle is one of the top tourist attractions in the US so where else do you go when folks come up for a visit? You guessed it. :) We had lunch at Wild Ginger and then walked down to the Pike Street Market. Had a great time taking pictures if one could move their arms enough to move the camera up to the face. Dang it was packed at the Market! Like sardines. Anyway we saw the "gum wall" A first for Sassy and Me too. Shuffled through the market until we couldn't stand it anymore. We also had the stereo typical Seattle weather......rain.
This is a composition of some of the beautiful people inside the emerald city that makes it such a interesting place to visit. In front of the Market of course. Below is a collection of some of the shots they were original in before I cut them out and moved them into this shot. Some others too.
Have a great week ahead!

We all have our way of commemorating something special and since 2014 is the 75th Anniversary of the movie "The Wizard Of Oz" one of my favourites, my Lalaloopsy dressed as the Tin Man and her little dog Toto wish to remember this movie in their own special way. I have watched the Wizard Of Oz many times and will no doubt watch it many more. When I became aware of the political connotations of the movie it really made me think about it. It's very true, L Frank Baum, who wrote the story supposedly did it to represent a political slant which was well hidden in the story. Regardless this is one of the best loved movies of our time!
