As I had to run into Northbrook I decided to bring my camera with me to get some better shots of the metal sculptures that sit high above the road on Hwy 41.
I may not always get to "thank you" or comment back on a comment that you might leave here on my image but, just know each comment is read and very much appreciated.
This silver baby doll dressed up like the Tin Man gave me the creeps. But it could be cute for some of you. LOL! SOOC.

The first day I was on flickr I posted some photos I had taken in Chicago so I thought I'd go with one from there again today. So much has happened in these last 2 years.
Welcome to the magical world of LegOz!
[Built with Lego, we tried to capture the beauty of this classic movie with a mosaic and forced perspective]
We actually built this early on, and had hoped to save it for the final week of
Iron Builder against Tyler (Legohaulic) and Michaela (Littlehaulic) - but they have forced our hand to post it early ;) The seed part is the yellow rounded 1x2 slope, and is used in the yellow brick road, the sun, and the hot air balloon.
Thanks for viewing!
Who stole your heart
The smile from your face
The innocence the light from your eyes
Who stole your heart or did you give it away
And if so then when and why
Who took away the part so essential to the whole
Left you a hollow body
Skin and bone
What robber what thief
Who stole your heart and the key
Now all sentiment is gone
Now you have no trust in no one

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is the theme being featured at the Dallas Arboretum's pumpkin village fall festival this year. The Tin Man is there in full metal! The festival runs through November 22.
Molten metal staring
at us from the shiny
metal form.
Grinning, menacingly
for those who can see.
It started out as a
simple experiment,
an idea storm.
Tin and sunlight inverted
just to see what would be.
Out of the shadows
created by light,
an image,
came forth
not of the
norm.
A little tin man
we now
can see
with blue eyes
that look
forlorn.
A long time ago, there was a company called Dollti.
And they made the cutest little Tinman dolls. They had several versions. And they were full of cute.
But one day...they simply vanished.

My Leeel Tinman is here!! Even though I knew he was close to Realpuki size, I am still amazed by his tiny size! I am thrilled!!! He is so cute and going to be so much fun.

Ric McArthur .. I thought of you when I saw this tin man while out driving earlier in the week. Unlike your nice neat tin man, this one looks like it was put together by Dr. Frankenstein... with everything but the kitchen sink! Of course, up here, they have way more time on their hands... and junk in their sheds! : )
A pic by request, from the left to right:
A dark-gray pharaoh Sophie with type 1 body (the body was originally for a monster Lea),
A dark-gray monster Lea with type 1 body,
A dark-gray (more like medium-gray) monster Lea with type 2 body (originally for the pharaoh Sophie),
A light-gray Timan Lea with type 1 body,
A light-gray Timan Lea with type 2 body,
A light-gray Timan Lea with type 2 body,
I will say there are tiny differences between those light-gray dolls, but the differences between the dark-gray dolls are noticeable.
