The Return to the Yellow Brick Road

In the gardens at Baddersley Clinton

To the New Dawn, to the Great Hope and to the Tinman,

whose groups I love---- and to flickr and all of you!!!

Dorothy is ready to go. She's leaving to a far away place and will soon be back. Oz the Great will fly her to her destination.

Chinal girl reminds Dorothy to tap her ruby red boots and say "There's no place like home" when she's ready to come back. Her friends all gather around her to say not goodbye, but see you later. l

This girl is leaving to get customized by the amazing Ken Z. I can't wait to see her new look.

Saw this Mr.C3P0 standing and performing to music while asking people to contribute to the kitty he had kelp

Karin & I wanted a break before our descent of Madison on Sunday, so we stopped at the hut to rest and people watch. It was about 4:00 pm on the mountain and people were starting to gather at the building for a meal and some rest.

Immediately, I was approached by this very kind gentleman and asked if there was room for two on the step where I sat. "Of course!" I said.

We proceeded to talk for the next hour about his hike of the Appalachian Trail and his friends; where he was from; what shoes were good and finally... the most amazing story of how he got his name and more-so, how he came to be hiking the AT.

Turns out, they call him Tin-man on the trail, because like the Wizard Of Oz character, he needed a heart- and he got one!

He had a heart transplant several years ago and was living his life with complete vigor and appreciation.

His story touched my heart and gave me so much inspiration and food for thought for my hike back down....

The scarecrow got his diploma and now explained to the tin man how to really put his heart into everything he does ;D

While watching the Wizard of Oz on TV today, I snapped this photo of this scene where Glinda tells Dorothy she can go home. 💕👄😍

14 days had passed since the destruction of Planet Ingemar. Some of the crew meet up in the bar to discuss what has happened and were brought up to speed. After discussions about various topics were being made, they head over to the briefing room where tinman was waiting for them.

A few shots left from my recent adventures.

The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 American musical fantasy film produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). Based on the 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The 1956 television broadcast premiere of the film on CBS reintroduced it to the public.

On a funny note, Dad let my sister and I stay up to watch the Wizard of Oz when we were little. I STILL think it is one of the scariest movies ever and had nightmares after that about flying monkeys! Mom was SO mad at Dad!

(I almost forgot I had these wonderful little Madame Alexander dolls, which I bought at the auction some time ago!)

Flickr always screws the contrast and sharpness on the little one It's WAY superior over here!

I'm not sure which one I like better, this one or this one. Any comments?

Strobist info: Canon 430ex into an umbrella at camera right and a Vivitar 285hv high above as a backlight, but now that I look at it, I'm not sure it went off... but it was there.

Shortly after Dorothy left, Tin Man realized his mistake of wanting such a silly thing.

Though not widely known, it was never a secret that after the Tinman had received a heart, the deeds of his murderous, tree-killing past began to weigh heavily on him.

It wasn't long, before he organized a traveling tent revival and spent the remainder of his years chasing inner demons, until finally succumbing to oxidation at the ripe old age of 219.

May he rest in pieces.

Day 7

Theme: Killer Robot

Newspaper header in the Land of Oz....

"HEARTLESS KILLER says "I had enough of that brainless fool" after killing local politician".

A natural rock sculpture, carved by glaciers out of the rocky cliffs of Western Brook Pond, bears a striking resemblance to the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. Western Brook Pond is a long fjord that once reached the ocean, but as the glaciers receded and the land rebounded it became land-locked and the sea water was gradually flushed out by fresh water streams until it is now a ultra pure fresh water lake. Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. To see it the light has to be at the right angle.

our travelers run into a bit of trouble.

Briefing took place in the Sleipnir's ready room, where Captain Constantine and mission operator, Tinman, briefed some of the crew. Zorathanus Thane and Chastian Necrosa.

The briefing took place for 30 minutes and the crew were brought up to speed about the mission ahead. First was to investigate an anomaly near Eletania, then to find a civilian shuttle to use for the next infiltration mission hit, at Horizon Corp's new base of operations as civilians. To strip the shuttle of its paintjob and refit it with Horizon Colours. Create forged IDs and badges, work on DNA scramblers and nanotech protection.

Once the team was ready, they changed into their armours and headed towards the docking of the Mjolnir.

I am not so sure the Tin Man works for you. You should not watch the boss's favourite movie.

Antics and frantics please leave me alone.

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday

NJ Tin Man wishes everyone a Happy Holiday

NICK: Nimmie, do you think you could sew me some new pants? See, the pants we took from Fiyero are too short in the back and people can see my behind. It’s not very becoming of an Emperor, I daresay.

NIMMIE: I…I need a minute.

NICK: Oh, I’m sorry! I hope I didn’t frighten you by turning my head around 180 degrees like this. I just thought it would be more convenient; I can talk to you clearly and show you the problem all at the same time.

NIMMIE: No no, I get that, I’m just…a bit distracted.
