Tinman, the group's chief mission operator and mech hybrid, was given helm control, to take the team in and out systems, nebulas, and the rest of the cosmos.
The Captain had control of the QWO, or the Quantum Warp Orb, that enables the BluShock team to travel anywhere in the known universe, to galaxies, planets, where it whizzes them in an instant.
Essentially bringing a world or so to them.
The Tin Man and Dorothy at Battersea's 1989 Easter Parade...
For me, the best E6, 35mm slide film of its time, just edging the slightly less sharp Ektachrome EPP100, both lovely films.
And then came Velvia...

a warm up testing out combos for my upcoming steampunk Wizard of OZ Moc.
Taking a break from packing. My dolls are so neglected right now and will be for a while to come. :(
Violet Race, my Leeke Mikhalia, getting to do something I always wanted - lounging around on a Sunday with cute little robots.

Original image was taken at Montana de Oro, California which means "Mountain of Gold". There are two stories why it was so named.. from the golden wildflowers that bloom in spring, or when a land owner planted hundreds of eucalyptus trees in hopes of selling them for lumber. I just found this scene magical enough to give it some digital pixie dust... I may have been thinking of the film "Tin Man" in the back of my mind. How does it look to you?
* Sorry about the Flickr oversharpening my cool dust.. check out the full size image if you want to see it as I intended.
-Tinman, you are a great friend with kindness and courage. So you certainly have a big heart! Here is one that also ticks!

Day 127/365
Week 15 Theme: None
* Had to run down to get some parts from a supplier near the Packard plant. On my way back I spotted this man walking down the road. He looked like he was scared of something, always glancing around and walking quickly. His bag of groceries broke and spilled on the street. All the metal on him probably cut his thin plastic grocery bag. I stopped to try to help him and talk to him. He was very evasive but took my plastic bag. All he'd say when I'd try to talk to him was "I can't talk. I can't be out here long". I have never seen this guy before, and I see quite a few of the same characters around here. He obviously holes up somewhere and hides until he has to come out to get food. Sadly for him, he also is Detroit.

My dog got hold of my Scarecrow the other day and chewed it up. Luckily, I was able to find a replacement. But I wanted to do a quick photo before I throw the old one out.
Ever wonder what Dorothy saw the moment she opened her eyes in the OZ poppy field?
Even better if you press L.
Here they are, the first photos of my latest Taeyang venture, Ginzou Morikaku, the Tinman from the Wizard of Oz set! He has a sad tale to tell: the plastic that came wrapped around his forehead in his box caused some sort of melting to occur with his silver topcoat, so he has a birthmark across the majority of his forehead. Tragic, of course, but given that I don't return "defective" dolls and he's so rare anyway, it's just a part of his story.
