Was able to time this shot just right, capturing a center-pivot irrigation system at work, silhouetted by the sun.
This is a photo set of the Shelton Vineyards Running the Vines 5k 10k Race 2015, It is located in Dobson NC in Surry County. Timing the race was Go Sports Timing.
The Le Cheile 'Leixlip 5KM' Road Race, Jog, and Fun Run was held in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Saturday May 4th 2013 at 11:00. This was the biggest ever attendance at the race which finished the last 700 meters on the almost completed tartan track belonging to Le Cheile AC at the Leixlip Amenities center. This was a great race with a great atmosphere. The weather was reasonably good (except for a strong head wind). Good race times were reported by many participants. Congratulations to Tony Brennan and all of Le Cheile AC for their huge volunteer work that goes into making this race the growing success that it is.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: Approximately 400 people took part in both events with runners, joggers, walkers, and families involved.
Weather: This was a wonderfully bright day with a strong headwind at the 1st and final KM of the race.
Course: The race starts on the road outside the amenities center. There is a signifcant climb up the motorway overpass at 1KM. The stretch from here to 4KM is reasonably flat. There is a final
long drag up to Louisia Bridge and the race finishes with almost 700M on the new athletics track built by the club.
Refreshments: The refreshments after the Le Cheile 5KM have now gained legendary status. Outstanding.

All of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available, free, at no cost, at full resolution WITHOUT watermark. We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not know of any other photographers who operate such a policy. As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. The 2nd round of the 2013 Mullingar Road League 5KM Race, Fun Run, and Walk was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 8th May 2013 at 20:00. The race follows a completely traffic free course around the trails and paths of Belvedere House. The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. The weather was much more wintery this evening for the second round and participants had to content with a very cold stiff breeze in some places on the course. As was the case last week there was a fantastic atmosphere as runners and joggers and walkers tackled the undulating course and a tough finish up the hill at the Jealous Wall and the finish line at Belvedere House.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: Approximately 550 people took part in both events with runners, joggers, walkers, and families involved.
Weather: A cold breezy evening with some rain showers.
Course: This is an undulating course with some good downhill sections near the lake but also some short sharp hill sections on the trails in the woodlands.
