Mechanical timer built from a battery powered clock mechanism. it uses a wheel on an eccentric shaft to trigger the micro roller switch. The other two switches control the overall (master) output.
Darek & I picked up Bill (Rusty is sick) and headed to the Prime Timers of the Desert mixer at Moxie's in downtown Palm Springs this evening. We got there to find out that PT had forgotten to book the place for the mixer so it was closed. A few of us went to Chill Bar to socialize for a while. Bill, Darek & I had a couple of drinks and then headed to Bill's Pizza (via a quick tour of Streetbar) for Supper. We had the Italian Explosion. Yummmmmm After supper we gave Bill a ride home and then we came home.
I did many version trying to deside which one to use as my day picture.

This time, the timers on both crossings have a 15-sec limit.
The button on the centre pedestal doesn't make sound however.

These 2 wires are soldered between the ring contacts so that the hours and minutes switches end up in series.
This is my £3 clock after I reassembled it at the weekend. It's now on the mantelpiece ticking away happily and keeping good time.
I bought it because I liked the chapter ring and hands and originally intended re-using them in a new clock of my own design. However, I decided that I liked the case, so I took it all apart, resuscitated the 'dead' movement, rubbed down the nasty dark and flaky varnish and gave the case a few coats of French polish before putting it all back together just as before.
I'm a great fan of anything Art Deco, so this can stay on the mantelpiece for the moment at least.
This is why one should not take pictures after 3 bottles of wine.
Although I love the range of laughs here. I just wish the quality of the pic would have been better (color, etc) but that's what drunkpix get ya. I love Sarah trying to... hypnotize the viewer? I dont know what she's doing but she's always a trip!
