The people of car shows, something about this shot that I love, just seems like "old times" when life was simple, and good!
Polarized light.
Water timer, uses two penguins to indicate time lapse. . When the top one reaches the center, time is up. The water and oil effects the polarizing; results vary each time I shoot it.
4532, 48s33, 48s36 and 602 make up a full alco combo on 2M29 loaded ballast to Albury, seen here dropping down into Jindalee in the last rays of light for the day.

This one did take several attempts to get what i was after. After a couple of failed sunset versions, i took the adventure wagon through the tiny, and i mean that, roads across the moor well before sunrise to allow time to trek up the hillside for the shot. It was magical to wait and watch for the first rays to catch the distant fellside and then gradually floodlight the valley. (f/9, 67 mm, 1/30th second at ISO 125. Timer and manual exposure)

A timer in the kitchen is essential when cooking or baking a number of dishes.
I like the light this timer gives off when it is timing
I specifically tried to capture minutes and seconds that are the first two numbers in an arithmetic series, e.g. 6, 12, 18, 24, ... n x 6...
Not part of the challenge, just fun for me.

The old timers would let me play, initially because they thought I would be an easy mark. As good as they were, they all used the style coming out of Aix De Provence, a sort of bended knee bounce. My technique was derived from Amalfi and countless games of Bocce. Even though I usually won, I had to buy the coffee from the nearby little brown wooden kiosk as to avoid there being any hard feelings. Whenever it was my turn to play, someone would call (me) out;
"Disco Volonte..."

A relic of a different age and it is not just my hands.
A old-time essential darkroom interval timer, it is still a wonderful thing.
I finding it a difficult task breaking apart my much loved conventional darkroom apart and disposing of all the superb equipment I had bought over the years. Still I have nearly finished now and there has been nothing cathartic about this action at all for me - just the lovely memories.
When in Upper Antelope Canyon, our guide put sand piles on this rock to create the rather 'contrived' feel of a sand timer...worked for me though :)
Three taxi's next to the archway at Chinatown in Havana - two old timers & one bicitaxi/tricycle.
Really the only thing missing here from this taxi theme is the yellow cocotaxi!

ODC-Every Picture Tells A Story
I haven't used my timer for a while. Today I made a big tray of baked potatoes and I like this timer because it has a loud bell when the time is up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
