This is my parents garden, I go there most weekends and sometimes annoy my mother by taking a doll with me. This tree flowered so quickly, I wasn’t expecting it at all but was glad I’d brought Stellar with me last weekend. It was raining a little but she didn’t mind 🌸

The Severn Valley Railway's Class 108 DMU arrives at Arley with a service bound for Highley.
Modern fashions aside the scene here hasn't really changed in decades.
The DMU dates back to 1958 and has recently had a very attractive repaint of its green livery with whiskers on the front. It has been resident on the railway for over 30 years.

Don't get me started on Rilke. He's not a just poet, but an oracle. And I chose these lines because they seemed to encapsulate the fresh clean air of the breeze that was blowing on my face so early in the morning.
I was clambering all over the rocks, inspired by the sight before my eyes, listening to the barely audible bird cries (you'll see one flying in the middle of the picture), as the sea broke against the rocks and the breeze whistled gently in my ears.
But this was just the beginning...
More tomorrow.

Here's an image that's a long time in the making. I grew up near Mount Monadnock, and although it's typically overcrowded, it always is special to me. This view is from Bald Rock, and I think it's one of the best views to get the mountain with good sunset light while making sure the peak looks large and impressive. After many years, I finally have the shot I've wanted from here. This was taken back in mid-October.
This one took a lot of work in post, and there are still some times I might revisit as far as touching up, but they don't show up in the web size.
I'll have another shot from this sunset next week.
In the Ancient Bristlecone Pine forest in the remote White Mountains on the border between CA and NV. 10,000 feet up a bad dirt road. These trees are the oldest living things on earth, they're thousands of years old. An exceptionally quiet, windswept place.

the streets of munich carried a quiet hum, and there it stood, a relic from a bygone era. a porsche, its curves gleaming like polished obsidian, reflecting the fleeting moments of modernity around it. leaning over, a figure lost in thought or perhaps memory, blending seamlessly with the car’s timeless allure. the metropol garage sign above whispered of history, of lives touched by these wheels and their journeys. the muted tones stretched the gap between past and present, a bridge where nostalgia lingers, and the mind wanders.

The ATSF really had some remarkable design and branding. I love seeing authentic details like this still plying the rails, though this unit is currently in Minneapolis among the storage locomotives in the Northtown Transfer Yard. The storage units are a living museum of the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe merger with paint schemes visible from pre- and post-merger designs.
Just dropping by with a quick archive post before the NyQuil kicks in again to let everyone know that I'm still alive and kick'n...........But, this flu bug that I caught has been getting the best of me lately...........:(
There's nothing worst than being stuck inside on a 3 day weekend especially since the weather was just beautiful yesterday...........So I'm told.
