When in the Shuswap area, I attended an annual outdoor car show. So many treasures with elegant lines from decades ago. This 1930's Lincoln illustrates the discerning level of quality indicative of the time. The highly polished grill is topped with the featured Greyhound the company adopted in 1925. I positioned this featured ornament to be sprinting into the color green. Also the color of money at that time.
A classic view of Cradle Mountain from the shore of Dove Lake in Tasmania.
I took so many photos during my 3 day trip here a few weeks ago and the images that really stand out (and compel me to process) are the ones of Cradle Mountain itself. I'm sure the other photos of the plains, trees, rivers, waterfalls, wombats, pademelons, are all wonderful, but i'm just in awe of this mountain.
It's one of those magical monuments of nature that really makes your heart skip a beat when you catch your first glimpse as you arrive. Or at least that's what it does to me.
This is just a little spot in the forest near my home here on Mount Hood.
I love how the water is pouring over the ancient, fallen cedar tree.

OPEN it to see how special? With film, sometimes you would have abberations if used in more challenging circumstances, here it worked and created a very special effect....
No matter how many sunsets... each one different and fresh and rich and more spectacular than the previous one, a miracle to my eyes each time.
Dusk is probably my favourite time, to reflect back on the day and look forward to the evening , the next day, the next sunset...and such, life passes...
Nature at its best.
This is again taken from the terrace of the penthouse we used to live in,Ostend, on the one side overlooking the sea, the other the town.
Even after a full day’s work I would very much relax with a glass of Chardonnay and my camera, looking at the sea-traffic and ultimately the sunset. This is one of them. Different? I'll let you be the judge of that.

No hands, no winder, no case, no way of telling the time. These bits are from a watch, long since broken up for scrap gold or silver. I have lots of bits and pieces like these and love them just the way they are. I especially like the stylish numbers on this dial.
For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, Broken.
Although I shot this in October 2019, it could have been a scene from 100 years ago. I loved the timeless beauty of this old ranch.
Taken while sitting after swimming at my favorite beach. It's my favorite because it's so much more secluded than many in the area and takes some effort to walk to the sand. The dunes are expansive and beautiful, a natural preserve of wildlife of all kinds.
Texture from Adobe, late October roses. Playing around with textures, I almost forgot how to do them.
