Bill To Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent Now Stalled In Congress, Here’s Why

www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2022/11/05/bill-to-make-day...

Despite deep discussions in Congress no-one has been able to come to agreement as to how to handle the subject of time change. One wonders if Congress cannot come to a conclusion on such a subject as this, how will they deal with the larger things such as war? In fact, it seems that Congress has achieved very little for years now. They don't seem to be able to reach across the isle and find mutual solutions, they seem to forget that they are dealing with a diverse society of Americans who need strong leadership one which will make life in the USA better for ALL citizens not just the few! It is time for REAL CHANGE! Humanity seems to have been forgotten and power, greed and disregard for others seem to be prevalent. We need representatives who believe in diversity, equality and compassion, are they available?

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

Paragliders take off for slope soaring over Zar mountain in Poland.

A reminder for those who participate in this semi-annual ritual.

This is the final week on Daylight Saving Time so be prepared for the upcoming time change.

A good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors too.

Selfies are reaching new heights of popularity!

These self portrait snapshots are surging across all social media platforms.

By the way the first known selfie was taken by Robert Cornelius in 1839.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

I tend to use my cell phone for the time these days and rarely use a watch. The only time I wear a watch is when I travel to England (takes me through three time zones). Our clocks moved forward 1 hour on March 11 here in USA and the clocks moved forward 1 hour March 25 in the UK. Today I remembered to change my watch.

Clocks changing tonight means the evenings are now going to be dark. Hate it but I suppose I would not like getting up in the dark either!

End of winter time

Berkeley Hills., 4pm. That’s San Francisco, folks.

It was a dramatic 45 minutes, or so. Very impressive.

Daylight Saving Time ends soon. Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour this weekend.

For those who participate in Daylight Saving Time, tonight's the night to Spring Forward.

Not exactly what I wanted but I missed the sunrise- not feeling up to par last night - I hate spring ahead daylight savings time at first- but then more time to play and there is always SUNSET--- No Time Mar 8 2009 Change your clocks IMG_9723

With the time change of Spring Forward, here in northeast Oklahoma we can say goodbye to winter and hello spring.

Dogs and children don't care about the extra hours sleep that we won't get! lol (Yes, that is Rylee in the background, trying to get in on the action.)

Last night marked the end of Daylight Savings Time. Most leaves are now gone, the sun is low on the horizon, and there is a definite chill in the air. A Local meteorologist gave his winter forecast this week and predicted a return to the polar vortex of a couple of years ago with biting cold and serious snowfall. But not today. Not yet, at least.

Daylight Savings Time is history for another year. Do you leap into the new time, or do you quietly try to pretend that the change never happened?

The original photo was of Lake Michigan on Saturday. Photoleap was used to create this image.

Theme: Intended Contact

November 5, 2018 (GMT - or whatever time it is)

The magnet is used to contact the surface of the refrigerator and hold notes or photos in place. Our time zone "changed times" last night; I thought every thing in our home that was not going to auto change had been set. The note was written this afternoon when I was working on the image for this week's theme. It was like, "oh, wow - you have not set the time in the cameras."

If this image disappears from the Macro Mondays group it is because my time and the group time won't fit. I had fun doing it and at least I now have my camera's time fixed. Happy Macro Mondays.

I spent the evening photographing this gorgeous girl in the freezing cold. A lot has happened this year that I never expected to happen. My life is going through a lot of changes but I'm learning to accept it all, be happy, and just keep moving forward. I'll be starting a new series soon that I'll talk about in one of my next few uploads. I hope everyone is doing well. ♥

Time Change: Daylight Savings Time

. . . from the Berkeley hills. Sunday evening.

Two bridges and the Port of Oakland easily seen. The rain had finally decided to depart.

For those who participate in the semi-annual time change, it's time to bid farewell to Daylight Saving Time and "fall back" this upcoming weekend on November 3rd to good old Standard Time.

We changed our time to winter time tonight. One hour more weekend. But I hate that it will be so early dark in the evening now... Definitely time for candles, tea and watching movies on the couch and wrapping into a blanket ;)

This photo is meaningful to me. Some people will understand the meaning as well.

This photo is for sale if anyone needs a background for powerpoint slides :D haha.

It's inspired on Jeff's (aka Iamnotanumber888579322110010100011013465) work.

Don't worry, his photos are way better, it's worth a visit.

In Germany (freezing!)...a view of the Cologne Triangle at the Rhine promenade with its medieval lanes, romantic well and narrow gable houses. The old house are filled with so much color!

I am still all screwed up with the time change, I just couldn't post anything earlier...I will catch up with everyone as soon as I get back to US time!! lol

Be well all

;0}

This is a busted down pier at Grosse Point Beach in Evanston, Illinois. I met up with some great photographers as some of you may already know, and we shot this rickety old shit in the water. We had gotten about 2 minutes of decent lighting to work with so it was actually quite comical to see all us scramble to get something before it dissipated.

Sunset - pretty

The geese - nice touch

Time of day was 4:39 pm - TOO early!!

But, if we didn't change our clocks, sunrise would be after 8 am eventually. And THAT is too LATE.........lol.

Have a nice week everyone :-)

She even picked an apple off one of the apple trees along the parkway on her way in to say "trick-or-treat." Since we had lots of treats left, we filled up her bucket, but then reminded her that she should go home because it is already November 5th, and her family would be worried.
