I took Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank down by the james River to watch the sunset over the James River (Newport News, Virginia).
I had MLK day off work, and decided to build a puzzle. It was pretty easy, took me less than a minute...

Technique: Shot 1,397 photos using Sofortbild and built in iMovie
I tried to capture Jimmy Dean making a blanket-nest, but he was doing it while sitting next to me so I had to hold the camera with one hand - not knowing what my aim was, I missed a lot of the action. He was after the blue blanket, not the dark green one. Still, I think I got enough of what he was up to so that you should be able to get the idea of how he does it. (Sorry for the heavy breathing - I still have a slight cold and stuffy nose.)
Link found the remains of a little blue crab to roll on. Link, Frank and Jimmy Dean love going to the river - always something worth rolling on to be found.

I was playing a game of "fetch the elephant" with Jimmy Dean when his space heater cycled on - game over and he pretended like I was not even in the room.

Taped in Luxembourg on A3 near Aire de Berchem in December 2010 with a Nikon D300s. Assembled in Quick Time Pro. Edited Brightness, Contrast, Vignette, HSL Balance and De-Interlaced in Final Cut Express.

Jimmy Dean grooming Frank - it's got to be love, but I DIDN'T ASK and Jimmy Dean and Frank DIDN'T TELL!
Jimmy Dean and Link will jump over puddles or try to walk around big one. Frank just plods along like he did not even see them, he has been known to sit in puddles or even lie down - I think his double coat is the reason why.
My friends 2 year old daughter calls Jimmy Dean "Jelly Bean". Jimmy Dean, Link and frank exploring out back, under the bird feeder.
I did not see Jimmy Dean this morning after I brought him downstairs but after a little investigating I found him (he was taking a post waking up nap before his afternoon sleep period).
Link and Frank are the brave fighters - Jimmy Dean is more of a lover than a fighter - he runs from perceived danger.
It looks like it's going to be clouded over here in Vancouver BC during the lunar eclipse so I've made a simulation of it in case I can't attempt photographing the real thing.
The simulation of the December 20 / 21 2010 Total Lunar Eclipse was made by recording the eclipse as displayed in Stellarium planetarium software, using CamStudio as the video capture software. (cool free softwares, google them!)
It's in 1080p HD, play it fullscreen.

Link would stay out back all day if I let him, he hates the hot weather but loves the snow and low temperatures. He is the last one in at lunch time.
While on the train at Busch Garden"s Christmas Town, the folks started singing "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" - extra lyrics added by my friends Leland, Candace and Josh.
As I was heading to my car this morning I spotted this little brown snake climbing in the bare branches of my crepe myrtle out in the front yard- it is December 12 -- I have never found a snake this late in the year.
When I first found the snake itwas moving slowly but soon as it warmed up in my hands it became very lively.
It was a nice surprise to find such beauty and tranquility in the middle of Tokyo. The sculpture is called "Ishinki" and is by Kan Yasuda.
All my rooms have way too much stuff on the walls but my red room (dinning room) is just about out of room.
It is fall, November 30, and 70 degrees. Roses are still blooming - I never had them this late in the year. If you watch Link in the second half you can see him using the honey suckle vine as a back scratcher while we are waiting on Jimmy Dean to get up the steps to go in.
Throngs visit the beautiful bamboo garden in the Arashiyama district. I normally avoid going to places this crowded, but people were very well behaved and I got used to the flow after awhile. It was a bit of a challenge taking pictures without getting bumped into though.
Yes. I am green. This is how I mow my lawn, as much as possible. When anyone tells me I am not being good for mother earth, I ask them how they mow their lawn. So far no one else I've met uses a human powered mower.
It really isn't that hard to push at all, once I cleaned it up, greased it, and had a friend sharpen and hone the blades and plate. This thing slices the grass very easily. At a normal pace, the grass really flies. Good exercise!

Link was attacking Jimmy Dean - just playing. Jimmy Dean has learned that if he just stays still for a few seconds, Link will quit attacking.
I brought home a drumstick for the boys but I wasn't going to let them have the drumstick, I harvested the meat for them, but first I let them see it whole.
