I took the boys out between rain showers but they still got wet. Link goes a bit nuts when ever he gets wet, he runs around like a crazy loon.
I always get a warm greeting from the boys - Link, Frank and Jimmy Dean stay in a pen in an extra room while I amnot home - it has worked out fine and when I say it time for me to go they run upstairs and get in the pen (except for Jimmy Dean, I have to carry him up the steps and then he runs to the pen).
The neighbors kitten has taken to sitting on the fence - watching us and hissing at us. Link and Frank want to play with her - Jimmy Dean pretty much ignores her after a quick glance at her.
My friend Bill stopped by for lunch and when we got back from lunch Bill gat warm welcome from the boys. Link claimed him and let Frank know everytime he came by - Frank later just jumped into Bill's lap - Link can't do that. Jimmy Dean jumped up and sat with.
Although Chicago wasn't in Irene's path, we did see strong winds and waves along the shore. Lake Michigan is normally placid; the large waves we were seeing looked more like ocean waves.
After our walk they boys seemed to have a little energy but soon as I turned on "The Philadelphia Story" they got into nap position.
And yes I almost called "Jimmy Stewart" John.
The Rowe-Bot comes with all these new exciting features:
- Its mouth moves.
- It hates humans unconditionally.
- You don't have to poke it in the mouth to get it to chat; anywhere other than its eyes will work.
When chatting, the Rowe-Bot randomly strings together sentence snippets for a total of ~290 different sayings.
There's also an Easter Egg involving the original Rowe-Bot. The end of the video gives it away.
Today is Colin's 3rd Birthday - it had a Pirate Theme = His mothermade two cakes - one chocolate cake and one yellow cake. The chocolate cake had Blackbeard on it, the yellow had Capt. Jack Sparrow.
Jimmy Dean likes to play fetch, sort of. He begs to play, then he spends most of the time making some awlful noises at his toy elephant as he bites it. This happens several times a day, every day.
Link is a different dog when he is on the bed - he is the only one that can get on it without being lifted up and he claims it - he wants all the attention and gets a little jealous if I pay attention to Frank and Jimmy Dean.
I can't eat anything without the boys begging for it - they love any type of vegetables - tonight they had Lima Beans (I will pay for it tonight!).
Frank is like a young child - he wants me to play with him and give him a little attention (and I don't mind).
Poor quality video I know. Well, my camera didn't take good video, and it's compressed for the web. Still, it's 90 seconds of landing in Newark, NJ.
I enjoyed meeting the shadow of the plane, as well as seeing that long freight train. There's Beyonne Bridge in the distance as well as the cranes in Newark Bay. Flying North, along route 95.
Dinner time. My dogs look like freaks when they bark in slomo.

This Eastern Black Rhinoceros kept peeking out of the doorway and then twice tentatively stepped outdoors but went right back inside. I'm not sure if it was shy or if it was simply cooler inside. Such a beautiful animal. I love the kids voices in this video clip...
My umpteenth vist to NY and only my first time to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. What a magnificent view of the architecture of the bridge and also Manhattan. In this clip, a section of the bridge undergoing renovation can be seen.
My umpteenth vist to NY and only my first time to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. What a magnificent view of the architecture of the bridge and also Manhattan. Apologies to the bikers that had to swerve around me.
Jimmy Dean likes to watch the refracted light in the early the mornings on the weekends (I am at work during the week when the sun hits this window).
I got this book in the mail yesterday. Dave Johnston had contacted me to ask if he could use a photo of mine in a book - I agreed and true to his word he sent me a copy of the book.
I went to a sald bar and got celery, cabbage, onions, peas, carrots, mushrooms, squash, and bean sprouts - added red pepper and cooked it with vegetable stock, red curry and few other spices and added 4 ounces of bay scallops. For Weight Watcher's the entire meal was only 3 points.

While on the trailI am invisible to Link, Frank and Jimmy Dean. Watch JD when he steps on a twig - this happens every time - he is a bit jumpy about quick moving things.
I went to the Thursday night Concert by the Lake, the band was Tidewater Drive - the crowd, well lubricated by beer, was getting in to the music.
I have an indoor pen for the boys when I leave the house - Link get nervous if he can't find me - in the pen he is secure with Frank and Jimmy Dean and it keeps them all together (Link will come up stairs but not down, Jimmy Dean will no go up or down the stairs in the house, Frank goes up and down trying to keep them both happy- the pen takes care of all that). I just got home and came to let them out.
