Frank, Jimmy Dean and Link all have different attitudes towards flooding and puddles. Frank loves them. Jimmy Dean will walk in shallow puddles. Link will venture out only if he has to try to find a place to go potty.

Every once in a while Frank feels he has to flex his muscle and try to back-down Jimmy Dean - He was doing his best to keep Jimmy Dean from hopping on the couch to sit next to me. No one gets hurt, just a bit of noise and teeth flashing.

This little clip was the start of a 5 minute barking-fest: Link and Frank were barking at Dottie Ann and Bela (pitt-rottie-lab mixes). I was trying to get all three dogs out to go to the bathroom so I could head to class – I was running late and I was tired of telling these two to be quiet and telling JD to get in the house.

Nike South Beach Run Club at Mr. R's (Lincoln Rd & Washington Ave) in Miami Beach, meets every Thurs. night at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited, it's free!

I was going to make a video of just how slow Jimmy Dean can be when called to get in the house, but he was so slow I took a break to go flush him out and head him towards the back door. Jimmy Dean does everything in his own time. Link and Frank respond fairly quick.

This guy who owns this house is a thorn in my side - every time I walk by his house he yells at me to make sure I have bags to pickup after my dogs (the never have gone potty in his yard). He put up this strange fence that really does not match and he put fake, bright yellow shutters on two windows that are way to small for the windows.

I took the boys on a walk to the River - as usual, Jimmy Dean led the way. Link took the rear. The wind was a bit strong. Frank did not like it blowing his ears and would rub them on the road when they would lift.

Say hey, it's the sound of the sunshine. Earthdance 2010. This captures the flower dude making a bouquet on stage.

This was the start of the Nottoway Tribe Pow Wow - traditionally, Grass Dancers would go in to the high prairie grass and dance around to flatten a large circle for the other dancers. They would also pull up grass and took it in to their regalia to mark them as grass dancers.

Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank saying hello to Bella, the Pit Bull - Rottweiler mix puppy that lives next door.

Frank, Link and Jimmy Dean waiting in my room while I get ready for work.

Like they really understood a word I said.

Frank and Link were barking at a kid on the street, Jimmy Dean wanted to join in but he was not going to put his prized rawhide down.

Plants are growing from my spilled bird seeds. I also got a photoof he boy waiting for me to come in. Frank and Jimmy Dean are clearly visible. I thought Link had gone in to the house but I noticed he was in the honey suckle - a favorspot for him when on the porch.

I come home for lunch every day and spend about 30 minutes with the boys. Link likes to hang out in the honey suckle - he rubs it back and forth on his back. Jimmy Dean and Link keep an eye on everything that is going on.

While returning to work at lunch time I spotted this snake on the roadway so I stopped and grabbed him before some yahoo ran him over. He was a little frightened and bit me on the knuckle. He left a few teeth behind, I got them out when I cleaned up. I brought him back to my house and let him go in my garden - it is just a garter snake, harmless.

Jimmy Dean loves to play with his elephant, either with me or just by himself.

I didn't have time to wait for a train to cross, but will definitely go back someday..

Video taken as we sped towards Fowey on an unexpectedly pleasant day

Frank does not want me to stop scraching his head - he kept slipping his head under my hand.

I always wanted to see this, didn't you?

The clearance under the cowcatcher is ridiculously small! It hit the Flip Ultra HD on the first pass and knocked the batteries out. The 2nd pass is the one shown here. Hope you enjoy it!

Original footage shot at 720p, filmed at Niles Canyon Railway on 3-27-10. This is a beautifully restored Baldwin 4-6-2 engine formerly run by Southern Pacific in the San Francisco Bay Area. You can learn more about this engine at Golden Gate Railroad Museum (GGRM.org).

Frank was the last of the 3 to get out of the bath. Frank, Link and Jimmy Dean rolled around like nuts trying to rid themselves of the clean feeling.

Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank enjoying the great weather we had today.

Jimmy Dean was barking at a phantom; I was trying to get him to be quiet but he wanted the last word.

Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank know that raccoons and opossum hide in the street drains, they can smell them. They have neverseen them, but they sure get excited at the prospect of finding them.

He spotted it before I did. Knowing about my appeal for all things disjointed and quirky.

Like watching a flickerbook of images drawn in art class, I was mesmerised.

I wish and dream and love harder than most.

I was going to a Pow Wow and no pets were allowed- I put the boys in their pen and they were not too thrilled with me leaving.

A spoil tip (also called bing, Boney piles, culm, waste coal, gob piles, slate dumps or pit heaps) is a pile built of accumulated spoil, which is a by-product of mining. These waste materials are mostly composed of shale, as well as smaller quantities of carboniferous sandstone and various other residues.

Spoil tips may be conical in shape, and can appear as conspicuous features of the landscape, or they may be much flatter and eroded, especially if vegetation has established itself on them. The highest in Europe is in Loos-en-Gohelle in the former mining area of Pas-de-Calais. It comprises a range of five cones, of which two reach 180 m (590 ft), surpassing the highest peak in Flanders, Mont Cassel.

The oldest coal-based spoil tips may still contain enough coal to begin spontaneous slow combustion. This results in a form of vitrification of the shale, which then acquires sufficient mechanical strength to be of use in road construction. Some can therefore have a new life in being thus exploited; for example, the flattened pile of residue from the 11/19 site of Loos-en-Gohelle. Conversely, others are painstakingly preserved on account of their ecological wealth. With the passage of time, they become colonised with a variety of flora and fauna, sometimes foreign to the region. This diversity follows the mining exploitation. For example, because the miners threw their apple or pear cores into the wagons, the spoil tips became colonised with forgotten varieties of fruit trees. One can even observe the proliferation of buckler-leaved sorrel (French sorrel - Rumex scutatus), the seeds of which have been carried within the cracks in the pine timber used in the mines. Furthermore, on account of its dark colour, the South face of the spoil tip is significantly warmer than its surroundings, which contributes to the diverse ecology of the area. In this way, the spoil tip of Pinchonvalles, at Avion, hosts 200 different varieties of higher plants. Some thirty species of birds nest there.

Some cultivate vines, as in the case of spoil tip No7 of the coal-mining region of Mariemont-Bascoup near Chapelle-lez-Herlaimont (province of Hainaut) which produces some 3,000 litres of wine each year.

The piles also create acid rock drainage, which pollutes streams and rivers.

Here is my insane dog Peluda, playing/dancing on top of my bed. crazy dog!! She is peruvian hairless dog, one year old.

Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank enjoying a special meal.

Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank saw the Cox Cable Tech pull up and waited at the door to give him a heart welcome.

I wanted to see if Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank would join me in howling - they didn't let me down.

Straight out of the camera.

I took Link, Frank and Jimmy Dean out for a shortwalk to watch the sunset on the James River.

This was my first attempt at time-lapse video with sound. Music by Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers... I think the name of the song is 4811 Wadsorth. One frame every 30 seconds. 1,200 frames shot over 1 hour and 5 minutes. At about 20 seconds, I started adding 1/3 stop shutterspeed every 100 frames or so. Adjustments made to RAW exposures in Canon Digital Professional also. Shutter speed at the end was 1.6 seconds.
