THE TIME FOR CHANGE IS HERE.

:: 15s videokeh :: Music by TRENTEMØLLER :: Edited by Me & powerbook ::

So I thought about doing this the other day and my Flickr contact Aaron Nace uploaded one first and his creation is an artistic & better idea. :)

However, it is HBWE and soon HBW so instead of a regular still photo with bokeh, I uploaded my first video-keh for "HBW" day. haha

I was not sure what title to use so I came up with these other titles.

Call it whatever you like. LOL

Location: Los Angeles, CA. See previous photo for location.

SIDE NOTE: I hand held the video recorder because I only have one tripod quick release plate. My b-day is coming up so i will have to get me one. :-)

not horrible, but not good.

Little time lapse video I did with my 400D while making the tetris blocks used in this shot.

It was stressy working with a camera capturing everything. I even made an error (0:09 before the end)

Music: 'Roll Credits' by the lovely Kid Koala.

An artist who inspires me a lot with all his creative insanity :)

Here's a blog entry with my first attempt for this shot.

Incidentally, my favorite part of this video is the little grunts.

As earlier promised, I've re-done the whole sunset-timelapse thing.

Every sunset is different; this is the one I saw.

I'm ridiculously frightened of traffic.

When I was fifteen my best friend turned sixteen, got a car, and immediately started driving at speeds well over 80 mph. It's one of the few luxuries you have as a teenager in rural America. Lots of long open roads. With hills. And twists.

She drove like a stunt driver, and as soon as I got my first car, a 2001 red Ford Focus, I did the same. Bet you didn't know Focuses handle absolutely beautiful around turns at 110+ mph.

As you probably suspect, it all came to a smashing end one day. Ironically, I was driving the speed limit. It was about 11pm and Sam upset me over the phone, so I hung up on him and decided to go get some burgers from Wendy's. My parents were out of town. I was coming around the very last turn in the highway on my way home. Just around the turn there were cop cars on either side of the road, lights flashing. The truck in front of me slowed. Or I thought he was slowing, but really he was stopping. Figured that one out the hard way. The cops witnessed the accident. No one was found to be at fault. My car was totaled.

Ever since then, I'm tense throughout most car rides. Sam has learned to deal with my constant gasps and clutches and slamming my feet into the dashboard. And I've gotten better. I've learned how to fall asleep when someone else is driving. But I still hunker down in my seat in whimper when I'm surrounded on both sides by truckers. I shudder just to think of it.

I have no idea why I didn't upload this at the time I shot it, which was Labor Day.

I just upgraded my Flip software, and now I can make movies with sound! Aren't you thrilled?

I managed to catch an impressive jump by the fluffster!! The gap between the dining chair is about a metre but she cleared the dining chair and landed in the middle of the dining table :o)

Added a video so you all can get a little more familiar with Doda. And now I've got the damn song stuck in my head. AHHHHH!

The first 90 secods of Commedia Volante's act. I apoligize for the grainyness, but I took this with my Nikon Coolpix S4, not a camcorder.. but a still camera that -can- do video.

Anyway, the audio is still pretty good, concidering.

I have more than this, but that's destined for YouTube. (I'll link when there's something worth linking to)

Mary McDhui LOVES to watch Wild America on WETA. She will watch an entire show. So now you can watch Mary Mac watch TV. ;-)

I climbed the same height rock that you see on this video. The view is amazing! It was a clear day and was able to view Santa Monica, CA pier. fun!

Approaching the New Year's Eve bonfire. Mostly, you hear wind. There was a lot of wind. There's some snow crunching underfoot and fire crackling toward the end, too.

Un paseo por el Cerro...

Our neighborhood coal power plant was glowing particularly brightly this afternoon. Ambient noise is the local kids screwing around on the frozen ponds in the park. (That video is forthcoming.)

Now, people keep commenting that my timelapses need music. Whad'ya think here? Would this be better with a thumping beat?

As always, see it longer & in full glorious HD over at Vimeo:

Thought I'd try out flickr video...

I shot this on Grand Turk Island, using my waterproof Olympus 1030SW point and shoot camera. Straight from the camera, minus sound.

I am not sure how long I will leave this up. Still deciding how I feel about video in flickr.

Sea Life à Scheveningen

It's a pretty rare sight seeing a koala in the wild these days. Please excuse the crummy camera work, I don't usually do video.

We are sailing through the western entrance to the Solent. On a large spring tide, the current can run at up to 8kts. It can be quite a sleigh ride, and the water can be very choppy.

Sheep... you gotta love 'em! :o)

Jolly: I do! I do! Tomorrow you take me, right??? :o)

This is really a very simple illusion I'm giving to you. The only real tricky parts are:

1. Not revealing the two face-up aces as you spread the cards

2. The correct grip and quick-shake at the end (you'll have to practice this part, so it's quick and natural).

3. Keeping the bottom (signed) card from being revealed prematurely. If you notice, I had the deck turned up, so that card could be seen. But hey! I'm just showin' ya! :-P

Now. If you like, go astonish your friends, co-workers or some random fellow sitting on a bench at Wal-Mart waiting for his wife. ;-)
