I have been looking through my images from a trip to NZ late last year and have finally coming around to processing them.
On our way back through Lake Tekapo I thought of trying to incorporate the 70-200mm into a landscape scene and compress the background giving the object a 3D feel. Jay and I parked the campervan right in the middle of the road and with no one else around we reeled off a couple of shots with the mountains behind the church and that beautiful golden morning light. Considering the night before was crawling with people it was nice to get some alone time with this beautiful place.
The funny thing was that we both didn't get out of the camper van, so technically it was a drive by shooting :)
This is a view of our northern coast north of Fort Bragg. Here is an abandoned home that once upon a time must have been quite a nice residence. Now it's overgrown with vegetation and in great disrepair.
The burners are well and truly glowing as the Italian Tornado 6-63 departs Coningsby, who's church is seen in the distance
the first thing I saw when I walked down the steps into Moissac's main square (position on google map is very imprecise)

I am assuming that the woman is holding a baby and that the troller is not being used as a carrying device for whatever is in that plastic bag at her husband's foot. Her arms position make it a sure bet there is a baby in them.

Last week at Bristol zoo, I was lucky enough to catch the pelicans at feeding time. With a bit of practice it was possible to capture the birds catching the fish as they were thrown by the zoo keeper.

Thought it was about time I posted some of the photos from Davinas last visit.
This was in her room I think before going out.
Should have taken my ring light with me as the lighting in the room was rubbish. Oh well not to worry it was more about catching up than it was taking photos
Our new tenant out by the shop, we were for just in time for dinner, but we made excuses....Have a beautiful day my friends...
To look at the stream,
the stream of time and water,
to think of time as that other stream,
to realize that we fleet like that stream.

Leona Lewis - Better In Time
Pre-sunrise glow at Lorong Halus bridge which ended in much frustration as I could use none of the frames shot during the sunrise because they were plagued with reflection issues.
On top of that, I spent the whole day trying to stitch this set of images and I have no idea why they refused to match up properly.
Truly a disappointing shoot.

Snapped for Smile on Saturday “timepieces” theme. Well, I think a camera is a time machine in that it preserves a moment in time for posterity or until I hit the delete button.
