A seat/paper/grub & somewhere to rest your boots....who could want more for break time.

Mexico City, Mexico - Polanco

For 119 pictures in 2019, #58 "in your time capsule", These are some items representing particular times in my life: a box of Ektachrome slides from the late 1960s, a (still valid) passport for all the times I had to travel to Europe on business (over the last few years, before I retired), and a collection of guitar picks for the time I used to build and play guitars.

Before this pandemic driven lock down , it was common sight that old men used to sit and gossip at railway platform at evening.

This is one such frame at a Railway platform near Calcutta ( Kolkata ) in the state of West Bengal in India.

The image was captured in monochrome mode of the phone camera. Slight film grain processing is applied in photoshop.

The Civil War encampment was filled not just with soldiers but all sorts of people representing life as it existed in the 1860s. I came upon this woman sitting quietly beneath a tent. She caught my eye from several hundred feet away. I approached and introduced myself. She possessed a quiet dignity, a sense of gravitas. She spoke softly and was kind to me. She agreed to pose and I captured this beautiful, timeless portrait.

Revisiting old archives, I ve found this serie. Not sure about if any past time is better. What do you think?

I guess somewhere along the way

He must have let us all out to play

Turned his back and all god's children

Crept out the back door

And it's hard to love, there's so much to hate

Hanging on to hope

When there is no hope to speak of

And the wounded skies above say it's much too late

Well maybe we should all be praying for time

One of my favourite covers, so I shall post the Carrie Underwood's rendition. Guess what, I shall liberate myself and stop putting my signatures across my works! I'm done- until I get a spiffy cursive signature looking stamp. =) I spent the whole of last night catching up to Kathy Griffin's My Life On The D-List. I love that comedienne.

This train will eventually arrive into the Melbourne Arrival yards, then depart for Essendon for the Steamrail Suburban shuttles.

A new watermark for me, something different I had created in Adobe PS. I feel the standard 'Joshua Watson 2018' was outdated, and it's time for an update. Hopefully I can convince myself I like the new one.

TOYS in a square format .

Well as for the subject , not too much scope here for toys - yes there are dozens of dollies and teddies ( mostly made by my wife ) , but they are more collectables rather than play things and they have figured in in number of previous SSC shots . Hang on though , a board game is squirreled away somewhere and that can create a number of different toys !!

Great !! But have you tried filling a Scrabble board with words of a single subject ? With all the letter tiles at your disposal you very quickly find that your choices become very limited - both from getting the layout correct and the fact that certain letters VERY quickly run out !!

So here is my Scrabble board made up of various toys old and new with many choices absent due to lack of the right letters .The shot was taken outside on the garden table ( hence the strong shadows ) , a quickly taken 3 or 4 shots in less than five minutes - Job done , pity though it took best part of FIVE HOURS over two afternoons to fill the board to what you see above !!

With that in mind , for sight & sound a chance for a bit of Prog albeit rather short compared to some tracks of this genre --

the aptly titled Yes track

Time And A Word .

These three Little Black Shags appear to have put themselves out on a bit of a limb... The colony is just out of sight to the right; I wonder if they've had a tiff with their neighbours - or perhaps they're just having a bit of Time Out...!
