“Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.” ~ Harvey MacKay.

Lazy Song

"Today I don’t feel like doing anything

I just wanna lay in my bed

Don’t feel like picking up my phone

So leave a message at the tone

'Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything"

What a wonderful time we had at the Grand Canyon. Even though we were only there for 2 days and endured rain, hail and a total cloud inversion, it was still amazing.

Street clock in New York.

yesterday is a shadow

in the corner of today,

a ghost that lingers

in the dimming light,

its whispers etched

on the diaries of memory.

and tomorrow is a tide,

pulling the present toward its shore,

never stopping, never still,

yet always just beyond reach—

a promise, a mirage,

woven from the threads of longing.

the clock hands march,

relentless as fate,

while we chase the echoes

of moments already lost,

and dream of those

not yet born.

You see I know change

I see change

I embody change

All we do is change

Yeah, I know change

We are born to change

We sometimes regard it as a metaphor

That reflects the way things ought to be

In fact change takes time

It exceeds all expectations

It requires both now and then

See although the players change

The song remains the same

And the truth is

You gotta have the balls to change

My watch, Citizen Pilot Super-titanium. Shot with iPhone 6s with Olloclip lens macro x15. VSCOcam edit.

I parked in my Subaru on a field road yesterday evening to watch the field where I've been riding.

I thought if I sat in the vehicle, I'd have a better chance at seeing deer than while riding.

I was right. This group entered the field and grazed for a bit and then played as the sun dropped lower in the sky.

I could here them snorting and making noises as they played chase.

"Crazy Tuesday" "Time"

Mesa Arch, a scene is often shot at sunrise. Missed "the light" by 2 hours or so but nature's fireworks continued into the day and on into sunset...

Harry Weese, arch. 1969

Even as a kid I always really liked this one. Back then it was probably more due to the copper-colored windows than anything else, but perhaps because it also looked so complete.

Weese did a great job of achieving clarity in his structures and this is no exception. Base, shaft, capital. On the ground floor he managed to include a colonnade on three sides, surrounding a a sculptural foyer on several levels. The different foyer-levels were employed as to offer access to the double-deck elevator-entrances.

I've been trying to find a section through the facade in order to understand the reveals above the windows, but have so far been unsuccessful. At any rate, it is a very nice detail which brings a lot of depth to the facade.

The rest of the building is clad in cor-ten steel, which has weathered very well and goes exceptionally well with the windows.
