Today's song: Spacefish: "Stardust"
'We rose late, and walked directly after breakfast. The tops of Grasmere mountains cut off. Rydale very beautiful. The surface of the water quite still, like a dim mirror. The colours of the large island exquisitely beautiful, and the trees, still fresh and green, were magnified by the mists.'
Dorothy Wordsworth,

Even if we both break down tonight
And you say you hate me, and we go to bed angry
I know everything will be alright
I'll be here waiting, I promise I'm changing
I just need
A little time to show you I'm worth it
I know that I can be a difficult person
I'm a stress case, drive you up the wall when I'm workin'
Actually, I'm probably worse when I'm not, you don't deserve it
Make you nervous 'cause you know I'ma break soon
Every time I do, I say somethin' that hurts you
Actin' like I'm gone, but we both in the same room
I don't like to be wrong, which I know you relate to
And I know I make you feel like you're at the end of your rope
That's when I look at you and tell you I'd be better alone
Just the pride talkin', isn't it? 'Cause both of us know
I'm the definition of "wreck" if you look into my soul
Comes out the most when I feel I'm in a vulnerable place
Made a lot of mistakes I wish I knew how to erase
When I'm afraid, might get distant and I push you away
But no matter the case, I'ma do whatever it takes
A treat today when a New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae ) visited the bird bath. A fairly common bird in the area but usually found around coastline shrubs and trees. Although it's only a few hundred metres from the beach, this is the first time I've seen one on my property.

Wochenende - Zeit zu relaxen, Kraft tanken für die neue Woche. Diese schöne rote Katze fand ich in Faverney, einem mittelalterlichen Städtchen im Franche-Compté.

Lifes ebb and flow.Impatient as a tide squeezing between rocks.Like time itself passing and falling away.I measure time in seasons.Mere minutes add up to nothing.Just rock pools on the shore.A moment of interest and wonder but gone all to soon.I see time in my kids who are taller, sharper and cleverer than me now.Stronger in every way.Like a spring tide under a full moon.I feel like slack water when tides stand still before ebbing.Time has made me.It's not a bad place to be.
7DOS Time Black & White Wednesday
Looking through the clock from inside the Musee d'Orsay, Paris, towards Sacre Coeur. The outside of the building is in the comments below.
This is the Washington National Cathedral.
It's big. It's beautiful. It's majestic.
I looked up and felt as though I was transported back to another century.
Maybe I was.
I'm going to go back there someday.
CN 1444 was frequently assigned to Hamilton during the GMD-1s second wind. CN stored all the GMD-1 in the mid 2010's (I think) and revitalized them after their four axel fleet was becoming taxed (likely helped by CN gaining back the SOR and GEXR operations around this time, meaning more four axel power was required).
This stint in Hamilton was 1444s last assignment, and I believe it's been stored at the shops at Mac (McMillen Yard) ever since. On this particular day it was taken off the regular set for some reason, likely some minor issue as it remained in Hamilton for another few weeks. Recently it's been shared that the remaining GMD-1s on CNs roster have been listed for sale, so there's some hope they might get a new lease on life.
